So I’m going out on a date with this white girl i met through mutual friends and have only met each other once. She gave me her number and we decided to meet up. She’s only seen me once, and not at my best (I was at work). She’s pretty decent from what I can tell.

However, I heard from one of my mutual friends that she has eitraaz over my beard as I’m a kesadhari khuli dhari wala sikh. She hasn’t seen me in a pagg, she saw in my patka under my hardhat.

How do I approach this situation, cutting/trimming is off the table, not happening. So do I call the whole thing off? Or do I give it a shot and just go even though she could be put off by it and then it would be a complete waste of time for me. ?‍♂️ Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you

I would call her up and ask if she is not happy about my turban and my beard. If she says she doesn't have a problem with it only then I would go to the date, if she says otherwise, I would not. It's pretty simple.

Worst case scenario, it doesn't work out. Best case it does and its great. But if you have an issue with her judgement of your external appearance, then its up to you.

Nice to see someone on here not being racist towards people due to their skin colour :)

Good luck

Maybe you should just ask her instead of relying on what others say.

You are wanting to date outside of your religion and culture, as long as you know the baggage that comes with that then best of luck.

Again it's fine if a guy dates a gori other way around and its hell fire I just give up.

If the stuff coming out about gender birthrate discrepancies in the community is true, be that through selective abortions or other phenomena like hormones in the food/drink supply chain, then this will inevitably become more common.

Where does it say in Sikhi that having relationships before marriage is wrong and a sin?? How on earth are you meant to be with someone if you haven’t been on dates with them to get to know them. The guy hasn’t mentioned anything about a sexual relationship with this gori so I don’t see what the problem is here.

Meet up with her and see what she has to say for herself. Be honest with her and ask what she thinks of you having a dhari and pag. From there make your decision.
In my experience goria are fine and so much more chilled out than apnia. Biggest regret I made was being with an apni for so long, much happier with the gori I’m with.
