Hinduism and Islam

These 2 faiths are spreading rapidly in the west.

The Hare Krishna in the west.

Many convert to Islam (especially black people).

We as Sikhs need to do more to attract people in the west.

Agreed

Sikhism can become a global force. But we don't have funding or any kind of parchaar organisations. 

Muslims have hundreds of missionary organisations. They give out free Korans. They also do love jihad to convert women. 

Sikhs need to start giving out informational leaflets out and have help for people interested in Sikhi. 

Only one is basics of sikhi who don't me seem to be up to much at the moment.

I have donated to them but what projects are they doing these days.

It's not about converting also. It's about teaching. We just should raise awareness about Sikhi. It's up to people if they want to become Sikhs.

Many just think we're Muslims. So don't approach us and keep their distance.

That is also true.

For instance at college back in the day there was a black Christian girl and a Hindu girl. These 2 girls use to hang around with Muslims girls. It was not surprising though as 90 percent of the college was Muslim. But they should have hung around with their own faith people.

Anyway these girls converted to Islam by being influenced by their friends. 

Many times people convert from attending a religious event or occasion. Or going to a friend's Eid party or birthday.

In the UK 80 to 90 percent of Islamic converts are usually due to marrying a Muslim. Hence why love jihad is biggest source of converts.

Women are the biggest converts as they are gullible and weaker. They can be easily influenced and manipulated.

Many Muslims are leaving Islam. 

Afters years of forced conversions and Islamic brutal regimes. Many are waking up and leaving that faith. To become Sikhs and Buddhists. 

I know so many ex Muslims.

Yh but look at how many people are leaving Islam and christianity as well.  Thing with Hinduism is that it's a culture as well  holi, garba dance, diwali, lohri, sarees, etc all is culture as well as religion  so that gives it strength 

Most Islamic countries the culture and religion are in conflict      a bit like us really 

Hindus have made their religion into the culture

The problem is we don't have large scale parcharic groups. Many would become Sikhs. But these people have no idea Sikhism even exists. 

Basics of Sikhi are doing the right thing. Only they need to do it on a much larger scale. Not token events here and there. 

They need to parchaar all over and regularly not one off events.
