Also new finding was the muslims in Saudi Arabi that turned sikh. Their writings were recently found. Bahi pinderpal singh talks about them in his katha. Google it.

A muslim who had turned sikh during guru nanaks time was buried alive or stoned to death. Sorry forgot the name

Hanji, here is the book called Taajudin's diary about Taajudin who stayed with Guru Maharaj for 2 years and travelled from Baghdad to Mecca with Guru Ji. Syed Prithipaal Singh ji found the diary in a library.

In the year 1510 AD, Taajudin Naqshbandi, a Persian/Arabic writer met Guru Nanak Dev ji during his journey through the Middle East. For the next two years, Taajudin lived with the Guru and kept a detailed eyewitness account in a manuscript titled Siyahto Baba Nanak Fakir. After taking a leave from Guru ji, Taajudin deposited the manuscript in a library in Medina.

In the year 1927, Mushtaq Hussein a young man from Kashmir, while studying as a moulvi in Medina came across Taajudin's manuscript. The manuscript changed Mushtaq's life, and he converted to Sikhism and and went on to become famous as Sant Syed Prithipal Singh. While in the Middle East, Mushtaq visited several places built in the memory of the Guru and spoke to Arabs who were still Guru ji's Sikhs. The book ‘Taajudin’s Diary’ is based on the unpublished autobiography of Sant Ji. The book retraces the transformational journeys of Taajudin and Mushtaq Hussein following in the footsteps of the great Guru. This remarkable must-read book references historical documents and monuments little-known in Sikhism. The appendices in this book also contain information on lesser-known travels of Guru Ji in Nepal and Himalayas.

Hi, I just want the names of a few Muslims that started following the Gurus and became Sikh, to shut up a guy who's saying that all Sikhs are Hindus. Somehow that's where the argument has reached. A bit of history along with the names would be appreciated.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Bhai Mardana Ji was the first Sikh in history.

50% of all Guru keh Sikh between the period of Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj to Guru Arjan Dev Ji Maharaj were originally Muslims who has left Islam (apostates).

Bhai Mardana Ji was even attacked for being an apostate from Islam by Wali Kandhari and his Muslim fanatics in a town called Hasan Abdal in Pakistan.

Bhail Bahlol Ji from Iraq was another Muslim apostate who became a strong GurSikh via the light of truth shown to him by Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj

Bhai Sahib Singh Ji of the Panj Piare had parents who followed Islam.

Yogi Allah Yaar Khan was a famous GurSikh disciple of Guru Gobind Singh Ji

Sain Mian Mir had also rejected the ideology of Islam to become Guru ke Sikh.

The main reasons all these hundreds of thousands of Muslims became Sikh was they rejected core concepts of Islam such as slavery, terrorism, genocide, rape, pedophilia as practised by the Prophet Muhammad himself and in the Quran itself.

Mata Bebe Nanki jee (sister of First Master) was the first Sikh, not Bhai saab Bhai Mardana jee.

There were other famous personalities who were Muslims, before they became Sikh.

- Bhai saab Bhai Rai Bular jee.

- Bhai saab Bhai Adam jee (father of the famous Bhai saab Bhai Bhagtu jee).

- Bhai saab Bhai Behlo jee (famous Sikh of Fifth Master).

- Bhai saab Bhai Manjh jee (another famous Sikh of Fifth Master).

- Bhai saab Bhai Wazir Khan jee (the minister in the court of Jahangir and later Shah Jahan)

- There was a Muslim Saint during the time of Tenth master, who was given Khande da Amrit, as he was very scared of death. I think his name was Bhai Ajmer Shah jee (later Bhai Ajmer Singh jee).

- There was another Jatt (Chahal got), who became a Sikh during the time of Ninth Master. His name is mentioned in Sri Sooraj Prakash Granth. Daas is not completely sure though, on whether he was a Muslim or not. Most likely, he was.

- The Daroga (Prison Warden) of the jail where Ninth master was imprisoned before his Shaheedi, also became a Sikh. Daas is not completely sure though, on whether he was a Muslim or not. Most likely, he was.

- Two Muslim Saints (from Kashmir area) became Sikhs during the time of Sixth Master, after they received the treasure of Naam Daan.

- From the names, it seems that the two main followers of Sahibjada Baba Gurditta jee were also from Muslim families. Their names were Bhai saab Bhai Almast jee and Bhai saab Bhai Balu Hasna jee

Even the wife of Bhai saab Bhai Rai Jodh jee (a Muslim Rajput warrior who assisted Sixth Master in a battle) was a Sikh. Daas is not sure if he and his other family members became Sikhs or not. The grandsons (Bhai Lakhmir jee and Bhai Shamir jee) of Bhai Rai Jodh jee stayed loyal to the Gurughar and helped Sri Satguru jee (Tenth Master).

This is all true but do Sikhs ever bother telling people in Malerkotla or the 200million Indian Muslims any of the above facts?

Also Mata Kaulan Ji.

She was the daughter of a Muslim who was the follower of Mian Mir. Their whole family respected Mian Mir. And Mian Mir Ji respected Guru Arjan Dev ji. From Mian Mir, Mata Kaulan heard abt buruji and became a sikh. Her father found out and was furious. He locked her up. She prayed to Guruji and at that time the Guru was Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib ji And Guruji rescued her and established her at her own residence which is now a gurdwara Mata Kaulan Ji

Also some muslims were sewaks not Sikhs. Which means they were followers or shardaalus of Guruji but did not convert. Like Nabi Khan Gani Khan and many many more muslims. Bhai Budhan Shah.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
