Millions of men sterilized in India in the 70s

Recommended Posts

She was a disgusting woman corrupt beyond limits   one episode from her reign that is often forgotten is her and her sons sterilization program  where millions of young Indian men were forcefully picked from the streets and sterilized back in the 70s   It was her attempt to control the countries growing population.  why this disgusting woman is celebrated in that country is beyond my understanding!   She committed so many crimes against humanity    she left people with no dignity     the government really have brushed this episode under the carpet     these crimes against humanity should not be forgotten

Kalyug, the wise are considered fools and the fools are considered wise... or in other words we celebrate the idiots and give the truth no shine.

I think her insecurity of being a woman in a mans world ruling over a patriarchal society made her do some of these barbaric things  sali chudail.

I think we need get past this trope in being in a man's world living in a patriarchy.

She was power hungry end of.

Women should be judged on their own merits and their own conduct of behaviour and chatacter as individuals .

If I recall her younger son Sanjay Gandhi played a big part in that.

Rumours also suggest that she had her own son killed off as well.

i agree women should be judged for their actions alone and nothing else should be taken into account     that is the fair thing to do.

but   i do think her insecurity of being a woman made her a tyrant   a lot of women like her end up becoming man haters   this sterilization program was a direct attack on men.   her husband sounds like door mat   i think she wore the trousers and man parts in the relationship.

Yh i heard she got her son killed, i think she disowned sanjay gandhi and didnt like him    apparently the whole plane crash was set up

sanjay gandhis wife was actually from a sikh family

Indira was a s1ut   she slept with her fathers male secretary who later told everything to the media   he told the media how indira enjoyed sleeping with him and how she told him she had no idea what real s3x was like until she met him!  no lie!   he even wrote a book about his s3x life with indira     he dumped her after 10 years after he found her in bed with some yoga baba     she did all this while she was married to feroz

she also sterilsed unmarried poor women too , she was just vile all round , even she got Bollywood to sponsor the message and even I remember a couple of films suggesting to get rid of arguments the young step mum would 'sacrifice' her fertility by getting operated on to prove she would treat her stepkids as her own ... sick .'hum do hamare do' was the slogan of these camps

she was groomed by Nehru to takeover, and similarly she trained up Sanjay who was worse than her thankfully Waheguru removed him from the picture then Rajiv was brought back reluctantly from his playboy life to toe the political path. But his saka Mama Amitabh and Mommy dearest got him there quick enough.

Tagore hated her with a vengence because her badchalan came to the fore when she was kicked out of college for sleeping with her German professor .

The biggest slap in the face we can give to these demons is to increase our Sikhi.

That's true    it's why I stopped cutting my dhari   I read a lot about how sikhs were tortured in punjab back in the 80s and 90s and how 1000s "disappeared"  majority of them were sikhs with kesh and dhari  they were tortured because of their sikhi and sikh appearance, so I thought to myself why should I look like how the corrupt governments want me to look like, a mona,   so I stopped trimming my beard     I dont like submitting to people

I too am going to keep my beard out of defiance. I am tired of the world and how they smile to your face in public but behind your back mercilessly trash you and others. Im tired of playing the world's game but I'm too weak to play Guru's game, maybe keeping my kesh will give me the strength.

    • Well I had one relative (through marriage) from back home who was snatched up to do his MSc in Germany (something about auto-driving cars with BMW). When he finished that, he was snatched up by America (Texas to be specific) to do his PHd overthere, all he had to pay for was his ticket there and they have set him up with uni fees and accomodation. Another female relative in the same branch of the family just got a job in a Panjabi university as a Chemical Engineer lecturer, so things are happening.  Not enough in my opinion though. Says a lot that hordes of sons of relatively affluent pendu families back home aspire to come to the UK and become builders. There is an anti--intellectual culture back home. There is little to no culture of appreciating/developing gian for gian's sake - and it explains a lot of what we see.
    • There has been a concerted, long term effort to dumb the panth down and promote barn-dance jamboree culture over all else. This helps keep 'wild Panjabi Sikhs' docile and easier to control. Sadly too many of our own are complicit in this, and actively help promote it themselves.  But people are waking up to this.

Wjkk wkfj! Sangat ji I have been getting thoughts of late regarding the academic culture in Punjab. There does not seem to be a thriving one currently. I might not have good knowledge in depth regarding the same, and do correct me if I'm wrong which I hope I am, but isn't it so much rare these days to come across a Punjabi scientist who is the best in his field? Or maybe an economist? A researcher of some kind who has contributed to his field of work. Why don't we see enough people at top management positions in the corporate world who have acquired their degrees in Punjab? This is another isse, we don't really have many quality education institutions or central government companies that are headquartered in Punjab. I read somewhere that there used to be many bungay in Amritsar that were centres for learning in a specific subject each. Why have we been unable to cultivate a learning culture within our native land? Why do we have to go out of Punjab, to other states or even abroad, if we need to gain quality higher education in a subject? I feel like it's high time we start focussing some energy on improving Punjab's academic climate. What do you think about these issues? Please let us all know. Wjkk Wjkf!
    • Simple: There are Guru Granth Sahib ji sarups, too, which feature purported paintings of Guru ji. Does that mean that Guru Granth Sahib ji is fake, too? The bani is real (Aad or Dasam), the paintings are artists' conceptions.
    • I totally understand preventing new fake users signing up and spamming the board with advertising links and such. It is puzzling and also frustrating why users with hundreds, some with thousands, of posts would need to be be similarly restricted. If they had been causing a problem, they would have been discovered years ago. The disabling of the "link" button is similarly problematic (for longtime users).
