The problem is you started with typical Islam and Muslim hatred that runs in Sikh families.

You didn't like Quran because you read it shallow, not much different than how isis or fanatic mullahs read it.

It doesn't hv violent verses. It originated at a time of chaos and fighting in Arabia . So waheguru told prophet that he should wage a war against the violent disbelievers who hurt prophet.

Overtime however ppl like u only saw violence in it.

Remember Quran and Sggs and Vedas have same author, that one almighty.

You like fanatic mullahs opinion on gays ? Dude ur sick.

You're a plank. You like to pick and chose and not see the woods for the trees.

You'd be thrown off a building. lol

And read Bachiter Natak. It'll tell you exactly what dasmesh pita's position on the pegamber is.

No, not every muslim is bad, far from it. Also, not every apna is an angel. That doesn't mean I have to idealise another 'religion' on some politically correct basis.

Always wanted to read these.

Read  them    its ancient wisdom    it talks about there being one god in everyone,  but at the same time there is some stuff that is against gurmat      like dharamraj tells the boy that to be immortal that he needs to perform and sacrifice etc

I read the quran  and didnt learn anything     a lot of hate.   hadiths are very sexual     like there is one hadith talking about fingering your wife

You're reading it wrong. Sacrifice not external, but internal . Upanishads don't focus on the rituals, they are philosophies of inner world. The external rituals are in the section of books of vedas called "brahmanas" . Vedas have four layers : Samhita , Brahmana, Aranyaka, Upanishad.

First of all hadiths are sayings of the prophet compiled together by his companions , called as "sahabas" . And secondly, in muslim world itself, there's lot of controversy over which hadith is real and which is fake. Having said that , I am not saying that muhammad was a man without his own shortcomings. But in Quran itself, you wouldn't find much hatred unless you ,like jihadis , interpret it out of context. There're lot of beautiful teachings in quran sharif too about compassion, gratitude (surah Rehman if you read). The thing is it was revealed to the barbaric tribes of arabia and hence had to be a little stern in its teachings. Why do you people forget that ? scriptures are not revealed in a vacuum.

I have read bachiter natak bro. I remember the lines guru sahib used for prophet while he narrated past men of religion.

But I am saying, guru sahib never disrespected quran itself. Infact in his baani, you find many islamic vocabulary words.

In Jaap sahib itself , there are many arabic/persian words and islamic names of god . "Ki zaahar zahoor hai, ki haazar hazoor hai ." , "karimul kamaal hai , ki husnal jamaal hai"

Guru Granth sahib which is considered infallible among sikhs says following for vedas and katebas (plural of 'kitab' , any of the abrahamic religious books)

ਬੇਦ ਕਤੇਬ ਕਹਹੁ ਮਤ ਝੂਠੇ ਝੂਠਾ ਜੋ ਨ ਬਿਚਾਰੈ ॥
Beḏ kaṯeb kahhu maṯ jẖūṯẖe jẖūṯẖā jo na bicẖārai.
Do not say that the Vedas, the Bible and the Koran are false. Those who do not contemplate them are false.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
