Asexuality, does it have a place in Sikhi?

Hi

Over the years I have personally struggled with not having any sexual desires or feelings. I used to naively think because I did so much simran as a child I have destroyed all my kaam but I have recently come to understand Asexuality (no kaamy thoughts).

I have never seen women or anything in a lustful way,  now I am in my late 20s alot of people suspect I'm gay or there is something wrong with me as I join in zero conversations regarding these matters or even acknowledge the opposite gender and put off talk of marriage. I am content in living my own life and not getting married etc.

Is there any historical context or guidance people have? I cant be the first one! Apparently its statistical more prevalent with woman but they just go through marriage etc as its an expected social norm, is that an inevitable fate for me?

Lust is different to love. Love is beautiful. A loving relationship with mutual love, respect and cherishing the other is a beautiful lovely thing.

The rest will come later, if you desire to be with the woman.

If youre concerned then maybe see a doctor but relationships are a good thing and teach us alot, as long as its the right person for you.

Don't worry, man. You're not alone. I heard this katha once with Sant Manjit Singh, he was discussing how some Sants were asking each other whether they still have lustful thoughts. Some said yes they do, but one Sant said he's never had them even when he was younger/ youthful.

You are not the only one, I'm in the same boat. It's ok, bro. Don't feel pressured. I think I'm asexual because in my past life I was a celibate. Our past lives shape our future, so yeah. Don't worry, it's great. At least we don't have to struggle with kaam (no hate against the sexual folk). Embrace it, bud. For long enough I thought I was abnormal or something... But now I don't worry.

It could be your suffering from a low libido. This means you have a low desire for sex. This is actually very common in people from time to time. When they have no interest in the opposite sex.

This could be due to a number of reasons such as a hormone imbalance.

Things that lower sex drive are.

Alcohol, smoking, bad diet ect

It's a gd thing because kaam is such a big distraction   in fact its the biggest distraction     it destroys your concentration in sikhi.

I struggle with kaam the most   my ego, pride, greed, anger   are or not that high    my anger is almost non existent lol     kaam for me is a biggest challenge!

Its important to know yourself and how you work...
