Were the Gurus above normal human beings? Ie if they were they would not succumb to illness like normal humans do.

It has been stated that certain Gurus performed miracles and cured diseases.

But why could Guru Har Krishan not cure his own small pox from which passed away from?

If Gurus could perform acts of miracles then why did they did not do this to themselves when they  were unwell.

They try to least go against the Law of Nature or Karma.

Bhai Jagraj Singh Ji of Basics of Sikhi said that Britishers deliberately lowered the status of Guru in Sikhism by calling Guru just as a spiritual teacher whereas they called Jesus as son of God.

Guru is a spiritual teacher but He is also God on earth and has all the powers of God.

Guru can grant salvation to anyone in the blink of an eye.

Guru has all the powers of God but at the same time Guru lives in 100% will of God.

It was the will of God that Guru Jyot shud transfer from 8th Patshah to 9th Patshah.

The way it is explained in katha if you've listened to it is that 1) they could perform miracles, but that doesn't mean they did (in every circumstance). They may have performed certain miracles in order to make a certain point. 2) Some miracles just occurred by themselves, as nature respects its creator (Guru Sahib is God).

Mostly, Guru Sahib was trying to teach us how to act in very difficult circumstances (such as being thrown out of Anandpur Sahib into the forest).

That's quite possible. Most Christians cannot get it into their heads that we believe Guru to be God. They think our Gurus were just like some Christian preachers or something.
