Simran with mala

Is there any significance to doing simran with a mala? I do it with a mala, with every bead say waheguru. If I dont use mala I cant concentrate.  Is it just a habit that iv got my self into?

Another thing about 10mins into doing it my body starts feeling weaker/lighter it feels like my limbs are shaking, like a slight vibration. To stop that I lean myself against a wall or sofa.

Another thing dont know why but my ears start popping!  A bit like when your in a aeroplane!  I hear these pops. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

Does anyone else have these things happen as well.

The being able to concentrate is the biggest reason for a Male. Otherwise get so sidetracked with thoughts, some might forget. Also it's a time out to the mind, like just have to do this amount. It's not forever

thanks for the video.  It really does help you concentrate, I'm thinking of getting a kara with beads as well

You eventually want to move past doing simran with a mala and start using your breath as the mala. Think of the mala as training wheels on a bike, it helps you in the beginning, but you eventually want to be able to ride free without the restrictions of the training wheels. Using a mala will restrict you from reaching the more upper avashtas. Its a great tool at the beginning but you want to eventually move on from it.

It is called Naam Abhyiaas for a reason! It is a exercise. Everyone has a different reaction, I have experienced this before.

Yh, Ears popping or thumping, throat pain and headaches. I’ve been through these when I started my abhiyaas not that long ago. You’ll soon go past them.

a gursikh told me it’s just your body adjusting to the naam or jot which is beginning to manifest.

some people see lights or get  some pains in their stomach; some even have toilet problems. It’s just your body adjusting it’s self.
