Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

hmm.. euthanasia is a touchy subject.. I think its same as suicide.. we are given pain for a reason.. perhaps its our karams.. if we dont live out the punishments and pain we are given, we will probably have it a lot worse in our next life... Also, with suicide, you are stuck in that pain, living your moment of death over and over again until you were meant to die. Its actually a complicated thing to figure out how it works, but thats hte basic thing..

as for the youth-in-asia, I think they are doing too many drugs lately... :D

Suicide is a very big no no in sikhi. No matter what the sitiation is you cannot commit suicide. It will be gods desicion to take you from this world. This is not your desicion. The basic fact is, it states in gurbani and reight maryada that suicide is WRONG. Please read for yourself if you do not believe me. By the way, about the ethusnia thing, its the same idea. IT IS NOT OUR DESICION TO MAKE WHEN SOMEONE SHOULD DIE. God will choose to take that person when god wishes to. Please forgive me if I sound a bit hostile or mad, im not.

^_^^_^

well sed trukhalistani!

but nw i tink we shud go bk 2 d original question, i think that euthanasia is rong and that no1 has the right to take away life, Waheguru gave us life and it is only He that can take it away from us, like Sikh4life has already mentioned, God has alredy decided hu is goin 2 suffer and hu is not, and clearly we shud not interfere with this, as it is part of nature

sikhi doesnt support it..

just like sikhi doesnt support suicide

this is indirect suicide .. if theres such a thing

vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw!

ur rite SikhForLife jee but we dont think so that if hes in so deep pain that its unbareable and after some time hes goanna die and he takes mercykilling so that he gets away from that unbareable pain, i know its sucide but think so, the question is very much thinkable

Sikhi doesn't support suicide but I'm sure it supports pain killers and that stuff?

Didn't Guru Gobind Singh say if we are to kill an animal we must do it in 1 blow so they don't suffer? Wouldn't the same thing apply to humans to an extent?

its in his karma to suffer..  God has a plan for everyone

but i understand ur point

its like this.. if a dog is bleeeeding and has no chance of survival.. or is in extreme pain should u kill it and end its misery?

i know my heart would just cry and i wouldnt be able to take it.. then i would prob kill it

ur right.. its surely something to ponder over....

If my dog was dieing and in terrible pain I would kill him myself becuase I love him that much. I wouldn't care if it is a sinful act or not by the sikh community, I really think God would consider it an act of mercy.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
