I wonder if Punjab will also see a massive reduction in it's migrant population

If so, and the rural masses can get their own sons and daughters to work their lands like they used to (instead of relying on out of state labour), it might be a great thing societally for Panjab and Sikhs.

It's going impact Urban areas as well. Ludhiana for example has at least 25 per cent migrant population.

No one is going to be able to work because no one is allowed out of their homes.

Maybe I'm being uncharacteristically optimistic about all this? I'm really hoping some strong appreciation of self-reliance comes out of this.

We need a complete economic and cultural change globally. We can't just keep following the poorly thought out western models of perpetual growth (personified by people like Trump). If the vulnerability of that way of thinking isn't apparent now, then the world is an a55! You know we had Brexit here because people wanted to have better opportunities for the people already here. Panjab needs the same, ideally we want liveable wages which are impacted by cheap competition. If Panjabis could do their own work and be paid more for it, that would stop a lot of our problems. You know, smaller scale with better wages. So food could be more expensive and the price kicked down to the growers. A focus on supplying on mainly a regional basis. Stuff like that.

Who am I kidding, our lot never think out of the dubbah.

Tell your friends and relatives in india/punjab to keep away from crowds and especially people displaying symptoms of corona. If you have a relative suspected with the disease try to treat them at home giving them help from a distance. Try not to take them to hospital you are unlikely to get the help there you will require they wont have ventilators and enough bed or staff to cope.

To maintain health during this dangerous period drink hot drinks, hot ginger in boiled water, mint tea, eat citrus fruits. Clear and mucus with doing gargles with salt and warm water. Use tissues to disgard any spit/mucus and always actively wash hands with soap every time or every 30mins.
