Look a few centuries ago, most SIkhs had evacuated Amritsar, Darbar Sahib was occupied by Massa Ranghar, and apnay were being hunted like animals, and they still came back from that, so.......

Proactive ji is correct. We dont know what happened prior to them crashing into the barricade. We all know how ਕਮੀਨੇ Indian police are especially Punjab police. It's no secret.

 

But what is not surprising is the reaction of the general Hindu public. Just read the comments under the videos where they are all saying stuff like how these Sikhs should be shot dead some even going far as calling them terrorists. We saw the same reaction when the father son fought back against Delhi police last year.

Yeah, but we are starting to have more and more people questioning the current situation. Hopefully we'll meet some critical point when numbers are such  that a change in acceptable behaviour/attitudes becomes more likely. We have to prepare the ground for it. Since 'annexation' many apnay have been docile and slow - the colonial manipulation of the Sikh narrative (which masses of unlettered apnay came to be indoctrinated with) played a big part in the increase in docility. 

You saw the same thing with grooming. For decades and decades, apnay ignore it, and actually reacted angrily and obstructively to anyone who dared broach the subject. I can bet that even some of the oldies on SIkh TV networks who now harp on about it like they are concerned, were doing the opposite a while ago. So internal social pressure and education/awareness campaigns can take effect, they just take a while to filter through to the thickos.

I have always wondered if you have a young daughter, how hard is it to explain to her : "NEVER trust any guy you meet, especially if he's muslim. Do a thorough background check of the guy"

If you're a sikh and a good man , your daughter would love to marry a sardar when she grows up. I blame incorrect parenting for grooming cases.

If you have an understanding of human psyche, especially how sudden hormone spurts can suddenly affect behaviour and perceptions, it might be advantageous. There is chemical basis behind a lot of behaviour in this department. If you mix, puerile innocence, with conservatism (like most apnay did), you have a recipe for disaster. Look at how directly CP gazes into this abyss. We totally failed to grasp other communities millenia old practices and understanding and manipulation of these things. Which Is strange, because we have the most direct sources wisening us up to these very things (and more) in our heritage??

I think that certainly plays a part, but we can also point at aspects of our own (modern day) culture too. The publically drinking to excess, shameless egoic false (usually caste based) bravado (that buckles when faced with real danger). Obvious disunity (an 1diot might think it isn't glaringly noticeable by outsiders, but they've known about it and have been manipulating it for centuries no less.). 

If you've simplified things like you have to the above, I think it is seriously dangerous, and also played a big part in the proliferation of such cases. You used to meet plenty of apneean with sardar fathers who were genuinely nice guys, who were just was attracted to the tough, street energy of guys instead of some docile, wimp, and fell foul of it.  

Don't underplay the the long established norms of host societies too. 

You must think of it like a perfected spider's web, designed to catch any number of weaknesses.  If paks exploited this, they did it with the complete tacit support of various powerful anglo establishment organisations (due to anglos own deep rooted but hidden culture in this area). So, no, blame isn't squarely on one side here.     

That all being said: docile parenting must be the first thing to go on our side. But then I've seen umpteencases of clued up fathers trying to warn their dumbo daughters, only for the girls to disregard it as scaremongering. It's only when all those white grooming victims came up in the papers, that hordes of our thickos even twigged that this was going on (and that after decades of activity by groups amongst us!). Some hardcore low IQ action. And this is EXACTLY how they/we are perceived by the people doing this. Simple minded, easily manipulable  (with a few kind words) planks. That's changing though. We've never had kumbaya-malord pu55ies running our quom before, this is the result of letting that happen.
