I hope I dnt get white hair in my dhari though b4 I get married! Iv seen singhs in their 20s with white hair in their dhari. I dnt mind white in my hair but wouldn't want white in my dhari in my 20s!  I dnt think this is normal.

People in india get white hair a lot later. I'm not sure why that is.   Both my nana and nani died in their mid 70s and half of their hair was still black. My nanas dhari half of it was a really dark grey. Iv seen this alot in bazurgs in punjab.

Lot more stressful life.

yh i never understood why people in professional jobs w8 till they are in their late 30s  it never made sense to me.  same with the women one of my mums friends daughter makes around £50k  and shes around 39 and still can't decide who she wants to marry       that just does not make sense to me.

i knew this young punjabi guy he was 21 and he slept around a lot mainly with other punjabi women, he then had his last bit of fun and then told me he knows this punjabi girl from uni, really decent, rarely went out, dresses modestly and he said he gnna go on a date with her and settle down     had his bit of fun and then decided to settle with one     dnt understand why more people dnt do this  instead of messing around till their l8 30s

Your mother's friend daughter wants someone who earns 100k and above.

The more money a woman makes, the less available suitors will be for her.

This is called hypergamy. Women marry up.

but whats the point of that!  why would a 100k man wanna marry a rugged 39 year old woman when he could with his income marry an attract woman in her late 20s      and most men with that amount of pay do marry women a lot younger     women like my mums friend are just gnna remain single and unwanted    time isnt a woman's friend

but some women marry men who earn less   my cousin brother has a really gd job and lives in an apartment in toronto canada, but his wife earns even more than he does!   he was 45 when he married and she was in her l8 30s     i'm sure both have lost count of how many people they have been with throughout the decades b4 they settled down       but they are happily married and settled ....

The soul knows. The mind can delude the consciousness into self-delusion, but the soul always knows.

Nasty. I'd rather kill myself than opt for 5hit like that.

They also have unreasonably high standards. We're talking 5, 6 or 7 out of 10-level guys punching above their weight hoping for a girl that's a 9 or a 10. It's not happening, mate. Get real.

This is a big problem, men have to be reasonable and look for factors outside looks like thinking, attitude, lifestyle and sikhi. Its hard but those values stay with you. You dont want to marry a face or body but a person. Remember that  when youre arguing with that same face in marriage lol

I think (for some) if you have spent most of your teens and your twenties being rejected and then when you get your <banned word filter activated> together and all those girls that rejected you suddenly start take interest in you, it makes you think.

What happens is marriage is largely where the women are the selectors (especially in their younger ages), what happens is that this flips as you get older. Men become the selectors.

That is because what makes a woman attracted in a male, is not same the other way around.

If I am 31 year old male, who was gawky, gangly at the age of 22 and was completely broke and the hot 21 year old never paid attention to me.

Now I dress better, in better shape, got a good job, got good money etc. That hot 21 year old is now 29 years old, she is not as pretty as she used to be and she has put on a lot of weight. Why should I settle for her when there is a better looking, slimmer, younger 25 year old?

They overestimate their ability to deal with these types of women if they manage to get married to them. "I can handle her" is what they continually reassure themselves with in the lead up to the marriage.

No, you aren't handling anyone. She'll "handle" YOU, lol. She's not going to fall into line and become an obedient housewife when she spies your monthly paycheck. There's a month or two honeymoon period where even the most degenerate, party animal tries to play the part of the dutiful wife, but you can't tame anyone like that. The drudgery, routine, and conformity of marriage begins to eat away at someone of that nature after a week.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
