pdl is Punjab digital library. It is website that has thousands of Punjabi books that are now out of print. Many even over a 100 years old written by authors long forgotten. It is an excellent website.

Besides this it so has many hand written sroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji, Sri Dasam Granth.

No. He simply wrote an analysis about it at the start much like how piara Singh padam would do to give the reader some background info before the ਮੂਲ ਪਾਠ of the historical manuscript.

Slight difference in the way word is written and pronounced but meaning can be misinterpreted.  

 

that's the thing it has multiple layered meanings which are revealed as one reads and goes deeper into the ras of the bani , you will understand more , learn more every day the more you do vichar . The concept of Sochna  i.e.the bathing and purfication of Brahmans is a deeper level than the more instant sochna i.e. to think . so both are right . Waheguru ji is too deep a concept to be grasped by our chotti mat .

so kion manda akhiya jit jame rajan

where kion is translated as why because of modern day punjabi  but actually in correct punjabi of that time it is HOW

so how can you call her bad /evil who gives birth to kings .... and here kings is referring to those people who are fit to be kings i.e. true gursikhs/gurmukhs  not just literal kings . Because in dharmic soch Kings had to be dharmi, aastik, mahaveer, jodhe, wise from studying religious texts and farthinking for nation's wellbeing.

I remember hearing Sant Singh Maskeen Ji talking about his discourse of Japji Sahib going back 30 years ago, how he said that he didn’t agree with what he had interpreted looking back since his most present Gyan.  He said he wouldn’t say it was wrong but correct according to his understanding when younger, but as he accumulated more Gyan, he said his new discourse would be different.
