Can Sikhs be friendly with Muslims?

You seem to be like a broken record posting the same statement on every thread. Sikhi is a Panth, a path revealed by Guru Nanak, whether it meets the western criteria of being a religion is of no concern to Sikhs. It is interesting that you have laid a great deal of stress on one statement .of the Guru which is quoted in a Janamsakhi and yet haven't attempted to show where Guru Nanak expanded on that statement in Gurbani.

Few days ago i saw a young Singh telling muslims if they need food iftar they'll be willing to send langar from Gurudwaras lol

I remember the NZ mosque attack, the Sikh raised over $60,000 for the muslims community .......did they or will any muslim donate a dime to help out the plight Sikhs in Afghan or those poverty in Punjab.......its so embarrassing how much 'Sikhs' are willing to bend backwards just to pander to Muslims or others for clout as if they going to give us Lahore back for Khalistan

Majority are 'Western' based Sikhs, and in Punjab Sikhi is declining, most are atheists or convert Christianity.....

We are in shambles

There is no religion. And it’s not distinct, it’s just the Truth.

 

Theres illusion and there’s Truth. We are students of the Truth. Many bhagats before the Gurus practiced it, Jivan Mukht isn’t only reserved for people after the Gurus time. To think that would be arrogant. The world has been in existence for much longer than that.

If there is no religion, then how is a pillar of it removed each Yug?

There is in fact, The Timeless Religion of Truth. Dharam.  And yes there are distinct ways of being in harmony with the Truth.

Sikhs and Hindus are not being told to be friendly with Muslims. ( if "someone" said to you go make friends with Drug dealers and rapists , would you ?

Who was Pir Buddu shah ?

No one is pretending anything happened , everything is written down in history. The British Raj when they ruled India for almost 200 years , killed innocent , damaged the economy of India which in those times , India had 27% GDP of the whole world , was the leader of exporting cotton goods , made ships etc... ( If it wasn't for the British back in those times , India  would have been a serious power to contend with .Are you going to say , don't make friends with the British people)

You may have experienced some bad relationships with particular people , but you cannot tarnish everyone with the same brush. There are good and bad people in every society.

Sikhs are not disgraceful , more damaging are those RSS so called Sikhs , who pretend to be Sikhs , look like Sikhs , act like Sikhs but are damaging Sikhi from within by false parchaar , changing literature. Look at India today , Where Sikhs from Hazoor Sahib came to Punjab and are being blamed to have spread COVID-19, all over the India media to belittle Sikhs.

To earn respect one must act respectfully.

The problem is clearly laid out in various threads of many years, over various news stories of muslim attacks on sikhs, over our own sikh history. Are you not seeing all this or willfully ignorant?

why Sikhs have a hard time forming friendship with muslims its not because Sikhs dont want to be friends with muslims infact most sikhs are friends with muslims even though we all know muslims do not wish our community peace and prosperity in the long term as its written in their scriptures they will have to fight all the non-muslims on the day of judgement so they always got that in back of their mind to see us as the enemy regardless of how peaceful and good we are to them. Moreover it is hardcore muslims who like all abrahamics are essentially taught in their faith to do over the non-believer because in the end the non-muslim will go to hellfire in the end for not following quran and sunnah.

Your comparison between british imperialist invaders of india and muslims is like comparing apples and oranges. British white imperialists invaded india and did harm in the interests of monetary financial gain the islamic invaders did so primarily  for ideological basis to convert or kill the unbeliever and to change the religion of the native inhabitants.

The ones bashing Sikhs in indian media are alliance of leftist communists atheists and congress (anti-sikh sikh genocide party and hardcore indian muslim votebank). The ones bashing indian muslims in the media tend to be right wing hindu nationalists of BJP and mixture of atheist communists.

The only muslims we can see eye to eye on ideological spiritual basis would be the sufi type of muslims because they are open minded they believe that God is everywhere whereas mainstream sunni muslims believe God is above his creation sitting on a throne with face and leg characteristics.

Sometimes the truth hurts and for those who live their lives wearing rose tinted glasses the truth hurts them the most. What kind of a question is "who was Bhai Mardana?" As is the personage of Bhai Mardana is enough to clinch your argument. Using such tactics is the lowest form of debate. Either show where Bhai Mardana was, lived his life as and died a Muslim. Otherwise you are just playing games. Interesting enough Bhai Mardana was cremated by Guru Nanak himself. I thought you had to be buried if you were a Muslim?

Bhai Mardana ji was a gursikh , he left his alliances to islam , before you claim that he wanted to hajj Guru ji had gone to Mecca and Medina to spread sikhi- to correct   nothing more or less . Bhai mardana ji kept his kesh and kept rehit given by Guru ji . If everyone who was encountered by Guru ji became gursikhs Bhai Mardana ji was no different
