Well the way it works is first you have goreh living in an area, then the Indians (Sikhs and Hindus) move in, then finally the Pakistanis and other muslim groups.

There's nothing wrong in wanting to better yourself but I get annoyed when the <banned word filter activated> follow us around but I guess that's how the goreh feel about us.

What's strange is that in London, Indians and Pakistanis tend to live in the same areas. But in most other cities, they live on opposite sides of the city e.g. Birmingham.

e.g. compare the maps in the below links

Sikhs, we tend to move to the outskirts and suburbs as soon as we can.

We spread out more.

Pakistanis tend to cluster more in inner-city areas.

Sikhs in East London areas are shifting into Essex.

Sikhs in West London are shifting into Bucks.

Gujeratis in NW London area such as Harrow, Wembley are shifting into Hertfordshire.

Inner cities are not great places, it's usually more congested,l and more crime. The goreh who move to London for jobs in their 20s move out as soon they have kids, they don't want to raise their kids in such a place.

Apne are more affluent than muslims and therefore move out to nicer areas.

Langley and Iver are full of Sikhs who used to live in inner Slough and Southall.

Doesn't seem to be the case in London

I'd guess its Mirpuris who tend to live in inner city areas whereas those from Punjab (Lahore, Faisalabad etc) are more likely to live on the outskirts.

That is probably true.

Mirpuris are far more clannish.

Birmingham Pakistani muslim proportion more likely to be Mirpuris.

London's muslim population is more diverse.
