1. Just for explanation: "Sanawarian" refers to the fact that this fellow is a graduate of the Lawrence School, in Sanawar, HP, established 1847. You can see that he must be steeped in worship of the British and their ways.

Some Sikhs manage to go to those schools with their Sikhi intact. Others become Christians on the inside.

The question is what duty? Duty to grow fat on Shudras like Brahmins do? Or duty to remember God as Sikhs are called to?

We are Dharmic, but our dharam is different from the Hindus.

Bachittar Natak says that Guru ji came for the purpose of "dharam chalavan" (to propagate dharam).

1. The fact that there's a robe with Islamic inscriptions on it at Dera Baba Nanak does not mean that that was the robe worn by Guru Sahib to Mecca. Rather, it is believed to be the robe gifted to Guru Sahib as obeisance by the Muslims because they realized they were messing with God himself.

In return, Guru Sahib gifted them their kharavan (wooden shoes).

Guru ji's shoes are higher than any gift any mere human could hope to give the Satguru.

That's like saying two circles that intersect each other and touch at two points.

And that's the amount of "closeness" between Islam and Sikhi.
