One thing Sikhs should understand about todays modern Indian Hindu's

They are hind-ians (aka those who inhabit the ancient land of hind) and are more interested in Hind-ism than Hindu-ism.

What Sikhs failed to realise is after 1947 when the Hindu's found themselves to have a majority rule again after nearly 1000 years they are more interested in defending and preserving what remains of land of hind than actual reviving and practising hinduism and uphold any of its values or teachings. The most militant and ultra nationalistic hindian will do anything including murders, torture and terrorism to ensure India is safeguarded. And the militant of these people are the types who join R&AW operations against their precieved enemies. We can even see some our own Sikhs who been brainwashed to follow this ideology of hindism especially onces who join the indian army they will rather defend india than Sikhi. We see the results of that when some traitor Sikh generals and sikh soldiers took part in the attack on darbar sahib in 1984 and those traitor punjabi Sikh policemen who killed their own Sikh brothers in the fields of punjab in late 80s to early 90s.

Today we see most hindu's do not really believe in their religion, alot of their hindu religious figures the sadhu's, swami's and sants are complaining they are in grave danger of dying out as younger generations dont believe in their paths as the internet is brainwashing the youth into other ideologies. Alot of hindu religious figures are getting caught up in fraud and sexual exploitation scandals and jailed bringing the hindu faith in disrupt. But what is being replaced in young hindu minds is deep sense of nationalism. Anyone who utters a word against india is seen as a heretic, a blasphemer, an anti-national terrorist who wishes no good to their nation. It is their new religion now not hinduism but hind-ism

In 1984 the Sikh officers were the traitors not the Sikh soldiers. The Indian government had moved Sikh soldiers far away from Punjab so they would not be able to cause trouble. In 1984 as news came of the attack thousands of common Sikh soldiers and even a few officers had mutineed and tried to find they way back to Punjab but they were ruthlessly stopped. Today those Sikh soldiers are known as Dharmi Faujis. I think a Sikh regiment was even permanently disbanded.

But I agree with the rest of your post. Fact is today's nationalist Hindu does not follow the chivalrous ancient Kshatriya tradition where a warrior lived and died following a code of conduct based on Dharm. Instead today's nationalist Hindu has opted to follow the Maratha example. The Marathas did not follow any Kshatriya tradition. They were no different than the Afghans in their conduct which is why even Hindu rulers preferred the Afghans to the Marathas. 

Hindu nationalists like the Sikhs just as long as the Sikhs are obedient and only look after Hindu interests. Once Sikhs look after their own interests then they are regarded as disloyal traitors and separatists who must be killed mercilessly.

Or even if you claim yourself as not a part of wider hinduism. 

The ideology op is talking abt is hindutva. They believe india first belongs to Hindus. And sikhism is just a sect of hinduism. That's why they will backstab panthic efforts. 

Now they're talking daily abt pok and such. Hindutva followers many of them are atheistic but believe in greatness of hindu culture.

I can't blame some of their actions in recent times against muslims. In 1947 we drove out all of the muslims out of Punjab and therefore we don't really have to deal with their nonsense but the Hindus were too meek to do the same in other states partly because the cowardly Gandhi told them not to. On the other hand the muslims in Pakistan did throw all of them out during partition.

Muslims are also known to breed like rabbits, they have gone from being 9% of India's population in 1947 to 15% today. That is a huge increase when you consider how large India's population is. The Hindus are finally realising that they get bullied by muslims when the muslims are in a majority and now they are retaliating against muslim aggression. It's common sense and basic survival instinct. The way they have treated muslims after partition has been way too kind, they've finally woken up.

If the muslim population of India was 3% then the likes of Modi would never have gotten into power.

Its very true, you read hindu scriptures and you look at their practice today and its nothing alike. Hinduism has become a culture or tradition now rather than an actual faith. The whole cow vigilante thing is just an excuse to attack muslims, hindus don't give a monkeys about cows, you go india and see the state of the cows there   they are starving and you can see their bones. The yogi guy from UP opened a cow ashram yet the living condition of the cows in the ashram is not too different to the cows on the streets. india makes a lot of profit from cow meat, leather etc so thats why in some states you cans still slaughter cows. The whole cow thing is just a political thing. The marathas never were a hindu empire it was like any other predatory empire with the aim to gather wealth  not protect hindu dharam. The bhamans that used to work for the mughals themselves used to assist the mughals in demolishing and raiding mandirs. 

sikhi and hindu culture is very blurred in punjab, the line is very thin, its quite complex, its not black and white. your average hindu in punjab goes gurdwara as well and really is no different to your average sikh in punjab. hindus also do akand paaths in their houses. you will see many hindu houses especially the aroras with OM as well as khandas outside their kotis. We have a poor arora lady working for us and she told me she reads japji sahib everyday and her son recently went to hazur sahib, but at the same time b4 her husband passed away she also used to keep karva chauth wear sindoor etc.  the line is very blurred.  Even people that come from a sikh bloodline don't practice sikhi and do their own thing, like the jatts where i am from build tombs and worship their ancestor, same with the sainis, this is their main belief, same with my family.  the khatri sikhs keep kesh but go mandir, their wives keep karva chauth and they where sindoor and they do pooja at home and have photos of devte in their shops etc   Sikhi is like the blanket religion in Punjab that everyone has some link with or some involvement with regardless of caste or religious background. Like the hindus do their own thing yet still go gurdwara, the khatris do their hindu stuff and go gurdwara, jatts/sainis worship their tombs and go gurdware, ravidassias guru is ravidass yet many still believe in guru nanak and do gurpurb though they seem to not like the khalsa concept

the only real sikhs iv seen are the ones from gursikh families   every pind has a few of these families,    everyone else just practices whatever their practice was b4 their ancestors came into sikhi.

yh your average hindu like gujjus  know nothing about sikhs,  whatever idea they have is from what they see in bollywood movies  daler mehndi etc   politicians like navjot sidhu  or babe like trilochan das that comes on aastha tv    thats about it really   and all these type of people are more hindu than sikh.

Everyone throughout the world is like that. Only focusing on the majority.

Most Sikhs don't even know that Sikhs are just 60% of the population of Punjab and that most of the rest is Hindu. Even some the Sikhs living in Punjab don't realise this, which is shocking.

It's probably because Punjabi Hindus have never got involved much in Punjabi media and showbiz.

It's probably because Punjabi Hindus have never got involved much in Punjabi media and showbiz.

Obviously you ain't been to the panjab lately. The biggest growing demographic in Panjab is the Muslims. I've been going since the 80s and the number of green flags going up has increased rapidly. All those Punjabi youth who left for other countries have been replaced with migrant workers who are now settling in the panjab

I went two years ago and saw loads of them in Amritsar, even had halal eateries there. It made my blood boil. We got rid of the Punjabi muslims in 1947 and now we are meekly letting these UP/Bihar muslims settle. I'm angry at the Hindus outside of Punjab who did not get rid of muslims in their states like we did. We are suffering due to their weakness.

You maybe right about the maratha's I haven't read anything of them being ardent hindu's prehaps had they followed their kyshaster roots and hertiage they maybe have defeated abdali and other abrahamic invaders to indian subcontinent.

As for the Sikh soldiers I'm pretty sure the Indian army Sikh soldiers of 13th Sikh regiment along side other non-sikh regiments were used to attack darbar sahib in 1984.

And yes there were many Sikh soldiers who rebelled in their barracks and killed many indian troops when they heard news of the attack on darbar sahib. Some even taking heavy weapons and tanks on route to capture new delhi and attack the indian parliament. But were sadly eventually intercepted after fierce battles between them and their former comrades of the indian army.
