Kachhera vs Boxers

I was planning on going to India to get my Kachhere made but due to the lockdown this didn’t happen. I was down to my last 2 kachhere and now one of them frayed and ripped. I’ve contacted a few Singhs who said they don’t have any spares, no one at the Gurdwara seems to respond so I’ve had to use white Calvin Klein boxers for the time being as that was the only thing I could get hands on during this time.

Is this acceptable or what else can I do?

As short term solution its fine.

If you want new kacheras asap, look at online stores. Expect to get ripped off on price and maybe even surprised when you open the package to realise it’s huge (nihung style).

Otherwise wait until you can go India and get made to measure ones for very reasonable price.

Longer from front, shorter from back ? Does it not then look like a dhoti when viewed from back.
