Have I missed something who is this sikh dr who cut his beard

turns out this thicko was a Canadian doctor who worked for a football club I think since they mention FC , working in MOntreal a french dominant and anti-sikh locale in Canada whse parliment i Quebec passed laws recently against government/public  posts being occupied by folks showing their ther religious affiliations . Seems this is being used to undermine sikh saroop in Canada

Of course Kartar Singh parents were, I would imagine, no longer alive or didn't know what was going on as mobile phone didn't exist back then plus not all households had landline. But whether they were around or not Sant Kartar Singh was at a Brahmgian stage. Sikhi was EVERYTHING to him. Brahmgians wholly detach worldly things. 

We can only dream of reaching such stages.

Ok would you do the same thing if you were old and had children and possibly grandchildren who wanted you to continue living?

Its totally allowed in sikhi to cut hair for kedical emergencies and get pesh. But alot of elderly sikhs dont do undergo surgeries that require hairloss IF the risk of dying on the table is high. 

They dont want to die a patit. 

Ofc we should remember religious tolerance is a great sikhi principle. However we only apply it to other faiths not towards sikhs. Mostly its the liberal or not rehit following that get kn a high horse. But lets all remember we r at different stages of spirituality and we r not the ones goint thru that problem. Who knows if we would be strong enoygh to do the right things.
