It is Kalyug and Waheguru ji came down on earth in the form Of Guru Nanak Dev ji to save people from this age. Wahegurus word is enshrined in Guru Granth Sahib ji, only bani can save you from this age. Then why are people still worshiping avtaars from the previous yugs!

They worshiped Ram in Tretayug and he left and then Krishan ji came in Dwapur did his thing and left. Then who has come down in this yug, Kalyug ? Guru Maharaj has came, so people should be following him now. That transition that should of taken place has not taken place. Bathing in Ganga, fire worship etc are of 0 significance in this yug and were only relevant in the past yugs.

In kalyug Guru Maharaj has come to carry people across. But people of India have not recognized that and are still worshiping people of previous yugs who have already been done their thing and departed.

In different yugs different practices were relevant and society possessed different characteristics. In this current yug Guru Maharaj has come down to the land of India and is the way to achieve mukti.

Yet Indians have not recognized that.

good point!

Udasis and nirmale were sort of the bridge to reach the masses. They should have been able to start off the indian public as Sehajdhaaris and recognizing Guru Nanak Dev ji as Kalyug Avtaar.  It just hasn't panned out that way. We became insular and exclusive.

Perhaps we're just lacking that one critical link, like Ashoka was for buddhism. A guy like Ambedkar, or Rajiv Dixit would work wonders for us.
