The best fat loss method is a lower calorie diet.

Put those paronthe down.

You can skip or run for half an hour, burn 300 calories, have an aloo parontha and all that hard work is wasted. I recommend a lower calorie diet and some resistance training. As the saying goes - abs are made in the kitchen.

More calories burned than calories eaten will result in fat loss. Even eating large quantities of healthy food will result in fat gain.

I disagree . Some top level athletes like boxers, swimmers, cyclists etc train hard and can expend a few thousand calories a day.

to maintain weight, they actually need to eat a lot more than an average diet  . Some people start to work out more and take more calories than they did before and can still lose weight - ‘reverse dieting’

yes, eat less and you will lose weight. But exercise is just as important or more to increase/improve metabolism. If you have higher amount of muscle mass that also improves basal metabolism

If you increase exercise, you do not need to worry as much about controlling your diet

best fat loss method is to do intermittenet fasting e.g. having an 8 hour eating window in the day and 16 asting hours or even 6 hours eating window and 18 hours fasting, in addition to HIIT exercise. This also means you should have recommended calorie intake too but you can lower it by a few hundred if you wish.

Also calories burnt are also not necessarily fat, normally glucose is burnt off from your glycogen stores so having thay that intermittent fast depletes those stores and then exercise can really have an effect on your body so more fat can be burnt. Also have only 3 meals a day with no snacks so insulin doesn't increase as much - insulin promotes fat but exercise promotes growth hormone for muscle. They don't like each other that much so having on 3 meals means you will build muscle quicker too and in turn burn more fat in the long run.

I can eat a lot at one go and then not eat for like 8 or 9 hours   but i spread it out to 3 or 4 times.

iv stopped eating chocolate, sweets, etc  i had a sandwich in the morning vegan and now i just had a vegan burger in a brown bread roll, gnna skip for around 40 mins later on and then at night have roti.   if i hadn't had the burger i probably would of had porridge. but burger was really filling. the actual burger was 94cals

i have actually noticed a slight difference.

im not even fat, im not even big im only around 5ft8 and naturally slim, but last few weeks iv started developing this repulsive pig like looking layer of fat which i wanna get rid off!  i took my top off in front of the mirror and was like <banned word filter activated> do i look like

but since iv started cutting down on food and the skipping, and doing other fat loss stuff from youtube iv actually noticed a difference.

i eat fruit as well, strawberries, berries, apple, banana etc

greet tea, nettle tea etc

i read somewhere treat your body like a temple and not a dustbin

1st week i started skipping my legs hurt so much afterwards i couldn't go up the stairs! i actually went up and down sitting on the stairs lol   but now 4 weeks in i can skip 40 mins and still can go on longer.   i feels really good under the sun  sweaty and everything lol    t shirt gets drenched though which is annoying, i would skip with my top off but i have a very conservative shy sri lankan woman living nxt door and our wall is low and it would just be really awkward   shes really shy of me anyway.

it feels good doing it under the sun with the heat

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
