Its clear the Punjab music industry is under the governments control. Similar thing is happening to what happened to rap music. Initially rap music was about fighting poverty, equality, injustice in society, education etc it then all a sudden came under others influence and became about crime, drugs, wh0res etc  and look where that has got the black youth

same thing happening with Punjabi music ... 

Music brings about cultural change and shifts in society, it is a very influential medium, and this has been wrongly used in the past
