Talking to him

I was wondering how does God talk to us? Or if we want to ask him for help or guidance how will he respond to our questions? How do we know that it's him out ?

Is the only way a hukamnama?

When we read Gurbani...that’s us talking to Waheguru.

When we chant ‘Waheguru’, with closed eyes...that’s him talking to us.

Waheguru...

Yes but how will he answer our questions, or speak to us like a friend?

When we chant waheguru, what's he saying to us?

Can we ever have a proper conversation?

Thats why most sikhs aim for darshan then God comes in a human form that you can talk to. And ask anything.

Otherwise God exists without a form. And that way we know God is talking to us when he sends us vibes of peace, love, ecstasy and longing.

If you say waheguru and ur heart is filled with ecstasy or love then that is his reply

So how would you seek guidance if you have a problem or just generally want God as a friend

He’s everything and hears every prayer we make no matter how quiet. Everyone serves him, demons, angels etc. without him there would be no sun, no sky, no daytime or nighttime for demons to wake up in or sleep in, no skies for angels to fly in.

If you can accept that everything’s him, then praying and believing your prayers are heard becomes easy.

I totally agree but Im just curious to know how he'd show us that he's listening to us or speaking back to us.

For example when I'm feeling down I really want to speak to waheguru ji rather than any other person, I do paath but don't know what else to do

When you close your eyes, what do you see?

When you talk to "God" what do you feel?

When you "want" a reply, what do you expect?

When you say "He" / "She", how did you derive this perception?

These are not trick questions, neither i believe there are any correct answers. We all have different perceptions and of course - expectations, but why do we have expectations?

Ask yourself as many questions as you want, you "may" be coming back to the same conclusion.

Let me try and make a suggestion - if you have some spare time, take a walk on your own. Try and go somewhere peaceful and tranquil, nature esque, then see what thoughts come into your mind?

Everybody / everything is created with Light. We need to discover this light and keep seeing this. With light, there is also darkness, you may see what i'm trying to get at here. My point being, why to we see "God" as a person? Why don't we see God in all forms? Everlasting and Omnipresent Waheguru
