14th Dalai Lama

I'm in two minds about this guy. Apparently Tibet was a serfdom with the monks on top of society before the Chinese took over, basically indentured servitude.

The Dalai Lama has also made some comments that have raised my eyebrows such as calling Indians lazy compared to Chinese people, that's pretty rich coming from a Buddhist monk who has never tolled away in harsh conditions and gets to fly first class around the world. Not a good thing to say about your host country. He also said that if there was ever a female Dalai Lama she must be good looking not ugly, which makes me think he sleeps around and isn't a celibate monk.

I also think he was a western stooge to get back against communist China and now that the west somewhat relies on China they have abandoned him and you hardly see him on TV these days.

Having said that, I've been to McLeodGanj/Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh and it's a great place. Well worth a visit, it's a 4 hour drive from Amritsar and Jalandhar, breathtaking views and the Tibetans are nice friendly people.

Some say he's the herald of the antichrist. ?

His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s pilgrimage to the Golden Temple that stands in the centre of the ‘sarovar’, the tank of holy water, at the centre of

the Harmandir Sahib, the holiest place of worship in Sikhism in Amritsar, Punjab, India on November 9, 2019.
The Buddhist leader had this to say about Guru Nanak,

“Guru Nanak he himself took a pilgrimage to Mecca. That shows religious harmony. Also, imagine his followers, no caste system, that’s a great thing. So I whole heartedly admire Sikhism: No caste system. Then the ‘sardar ji’, wherever they live they are hard working. I never saw a Sardar ji as a beggar. No, all are hard working. Wonderful. So please carry this tradition continuously. The world needs this kind of strength “
