UP incident : Sikh beaten and dragged by kes , made to run , turban thrown in sewer .

Even if one reasons he did something wrong to deserve a beating, I don't see a justification to remove his turban and drag by Kes. But I see its increasingly becoming common in arguments, that sikh guy's turban is removed from head, which honestly as we all turbaned men can agree is akin to stripping someone naked.

Thats why Guru Ji gave Sikhs the kirpan and right to bear arms to defend themselves. Lets be clear the reason why they attack is because they think these sardars are weak and not able to attack back. Wearing a dastar means you need to carry weapons too. If the sardars dont carry arms then they shouldnt complain when they get attacked and their dastaars chucked they chose not to listen to their Guru and defend themselves with shastars.

If these hooligans knew they would get killed or injured if they took on an armed sardar they wouldn't dare try it on.

Our Sikh brothers in states other than Punjab need to start retaliating with severe force or face being humiliated like this on a daily bases.  We all saw the Nihung Singh recently who gave the Punjab Police a stern reply.  The message this sends out to the rest of the skinny Indians is ‘Singhs have gone soft’.  Wherever Sikhs are outnumbered outsider of Punjab, the need to form small Jathe made of young fearless Singhs who carry out punishment missions against those who are identified in the humiliation of articles of faith.  Then this will stop!

The thing about directly attacking , like in case of nihang, is that then the state machinery starts tagging you as criminals and lawless and state machinery is unleashed on you.

honestly its a catch-22 situation, and I don't see any easy solution to this

Which is where the sikh leadership and sikh media needs to speak up on behalf of Sikhs. If SGPC and akali dali are sold out then new institutions must be raised to give Sikhs that voice and protection.

Direct action gets instant results and deters others from getting the same idea. No one is going to save you and living up to the states expectation of being labelled law abiding and peaceful, will only empower other skinny bayeh to have a go at Singhs outside of Punjab.  There was a time when people used fear Sardars now you’ve got these malnourished bayeh chasing Singhs.  It’s time to reclaim the image.

See, it's when Hindus do stuff like this that pushes Sikhs closer to Muslims. Add to this the fact the hundreds of Sikh families who settled in UP after partition are now being uprooted again by the UP government. That's why Sikhs start to get back at Hindus by supporting their enemies i.e. Kashmiris, Rohingyas, anti CAA protestors.

There is nothing that will piss off the Bahman-Bania combine than Sikhs doing parchar among lower caste Hindus. I remember reading a book a few years ago which was about Muslim politics in UP before partition and it stated that there was an UP Sikh conference  arranged by the Akalis under Master Tara Singh in Aligarh which had a large Muslim population. The conference was attended by over 1 lakh Sikhs and non-Sikhs and there was a large number of Sikhs from Punjab. At the conference before the political speeches Master Tara Singh made a call from among the Hindus attending to convert to Sikhism. According to the police report of that time over 23000 Hindus who were Jats, Ahirs and lower castes become Sikhs on that day. Over 30000 Kirpans were distributed at the conference and naturally this panicked the Muslims of Western UP but also many Congress Hindus wrote to Nehru and the other leaders criticising the Sikhs for converting Hindus and in their view weakening the Hindus. If Ravi Singh really wants to piss of Hindus and the Indian govt then he should be concentrating on helping lower caste Hindus who are suffering under the Hindu caste system. Helping Muslims and thus strengthening them is shooting the Kaum in the foot.

Shame on ourselves that 'Jatt' culture has completely overshadowed Sikhi which for all castes to follow. This is why christian missionary have taken over India. I remember Bhai Jagraj Singh mentioned this many times to preach to lower castes to come into Sikhi, and then Khalsa will take over.  Punjabi Jatt are just as bad as Hindu Bahmans now.
