When Giani pinderpal Singh ji doubted Sant isher Singh ji

I had a similar experience in my early 20s regarding Sant Jarnail Singh. I had my head turned by the "He was a Congress agent" conspiracy talk, and started believing it although on some level I knew it was slander designed to besmirch a man who, I later realised, was a victim of one of the greatest character assassinations of the previous century. I'm not a Taksali or belonging to any other jatha, I just wanted to know the impartial truth whatever it was, good or bad.

No offense , and I say this with a fear of repurcussions of slandering a saint as outlined in 13th astapadi of sukhmani sahib,

how do you know whether Sant Jarnail Singh ji (yes I give him benefit of doubt, with a pinch of salt) were a noble person, and not greedy of power ?

the events of 1984 are an entire mess.

You're entitled to believe that, bro. A lot of it is a confusing mess. Maybe I'm confused, lol. I made a benti, and it was answered. As a Sikh there's not much more I can ask, is there?

Describe what kind of power according to you Sant ji was after?

my only question is why give unquestioning following to one person ? we as a community were never a one person following community, since the days of Guru Gobind Singh ji , hence the concept of punj pyare.

Some of the logical fallacies evident in Sant Bhindrawale's speech is when he says "hindu in arabic means thief" ,implying muslims call hindus thief . no thats not true honestly.

But his hatred for hindus if he had any might have arisen out of seeing how a baahmani (IG) was against sikhs and sikhs rights

PS : waheguru forgive me if I am accidentally slandering a saint

Answer the question, what kind of power was Sant ji after?

Sant ji built a mandir and helped Hindus out in various ways.  Most famous case is when a girls in laws wanted dowry from her family.

I'm pretty sure there was a split between Babbar Khalsa and Sant Jarnail Singh, and then the Akalis had their own followers, and then a vast number of Sikhs who disagreed with all of the leaders. It wasn't as if everyone was following one leader, there were a lot of differences in opinion.
