Can you prove that God exists?

it ever happened to you ? what does it feel like ?

A mute person was once given something very sweet to eat. He was then asked to describe the taste. That person being unable to speak, could not say anything.

People could only see the look on his face, his body language, and his eyes, to gauge what he was feeling...

aah the common analogy of "goonge ki mithyaai" , but I have always had the fascination to what that parmanand feels like. I wish I could only get a glimpse of it even

like just for  a second maybe.

its even hard to imagine what it could feel like although most people describe it as light .

EDIT --

i think the closest I have had is when I am listening to very melodious kirtan describing the grandiose of god , I sometimes get teary eyed, but its likely nothing like that

Ok i dont know if your joking or being serious?   lol

Well, the second half is 100 true. Elves are legally protected in iceland. As for the sheeog who knows? Oral tradition about them is really consistent though.

How do we know it was created?

It is simple, if you see a picture hanging on a wall, naturally it is painted by a painter.

In a similar way, if there is creation, there has to be a creator.

Though the author of all creation whether visible or invisible, is the most subtle Truth or creative power beyond any imagination, or any thought process, for as the Bani says:  Sochay soch na hovaee jeh sochay lakh vaar

Didn't Guru Nanak Dev Ji say yo can think and write theories on about this but there is no amount of paper or ink that would fulfill this thought.

So spend time on Gurbani instead of wasting your time away, for instance look at scientist and the atom they then break it down, then they break it down further, their theory changes and this will go on for infinite.

Why start on 'god'? First question is can you prove 'you' exist? Who are 'you'? Is there some special 'me' inside that someone can prove exists? Its quite a good trick to do on the 'ego'. Do a meditation to find the unique 'you' inside, that special defined 'you'. try it, but it is a head messer up thing to try. When you find 'you' then take a look for proof of 'god'. On a side note, folks (joe rogan etc) have tried to get famous atheists like Richard Dawkins to try DMT, yet to this day he has refused (apparently its a short cut to experience 'god').

To the question Can you prove that God exists?

The fact is, to prove the existence of God to oneself or to anyone, is not in one´s hand at all, but in His hands, for only on those whom He grants His glance of mercy, come to believe in Him, are drawn towards Him, and merge in Him, through Guru Jee.

I would personally say yes. Your own experiences of Anand and bliss of Naam will prove to you undoubtedly.  The Mahapurkhs have got to such a state in their Abhiyaas that they don't need to ask the question anymore. They know and are one with them. For example Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir and Baba Harnaam Singh ji Raamphur Khere Wale.

How many special events are associated with them? How many times have miraculous events occur? You can say that there is a small probability of chance etc. but miracle after miracle,  Kirpa after Kirpa stacks up and really the odds of it not being the Creator's are impossible. Just read their Sakhis, the great miracles that have happened in Sri Harimander Sahib, Shaheed Singhs, effect of Paath. It can't be by chance.

You can also prove something transcendent exists:

The universe has a beginning,

The being that created it must beyond space time and matter otherwise you lead yourself into an infinite loop which reduces to absurdity.

Therefore we have just concluded that the beginner of creation must be at least transcendent.

Also a point on your emotions. I don't need to prove anger, pain or bliss exist. You're able to feel them, same with Naam.

Whenever you may get thoughts like this just remember the Sants.

So true🙏

    • ok i will try to keep this as short as possible. i wanted to get something off my chest and didnt know where to put it but here goes i wont mention names for privacy reason. my friend we will call him S. I grew up in the same street as S. We were both punjabis and sikhs and our immediate neighbourhood had quite a few punjabis and whites. I met S well playing outside when i was around 10 or 11 during grade 6. his mom and my mom became immediate friends and we would hang out. when we turned 14 he was HEAVY into khalistan movement and loved our culture and religion. he would go Gurdwara and do seva regualry at Nagar kirtan etc. stayed away from smoking drinking and girls and was a very respectable guy. Even though he was a mona he loved our community.  Something changed during the time we turned 17 after highschool we drifted apart but still kept in touch. He started hanging out with a different crowd. These guys werent punjabi but of another group and they got him into crime. From what I hear these guys mentally destroyed him and his self esteem. He never at the gurdwara doesn't go to nagar kirtans and cant remember last time hes even hung around us or even any other apneh for that matter, His mom cries every night and i still get calls here and there from her asking if ive seen him.  I know where he is and what hes up to but i dont want to cause his mom stress. it just hurts me so much what happened to S and i know that if he didn't fall  in with these guys he wouldn't turn out this way. I feel guilty because before this time i got way into the negative side of punjabi culture like partying, girls bhangra etc S was never into these things and I guess he started feeling isolated because I admit we stopped calling /hanging out with him because he would just act awkward around girls and we drifted apart and thats when he started hanging with these guys
    • i hear most pakistanis are barelvi and that the orthodox salafis dont even consider barelvis as proper muslims. its these same barelvis that give sikhs a hard time and are probably the ones who r doing this grooming crap because almost every pakistani mosque even here in canada is a barelvi one. I have only met one orthodox muslim in my life and tbf the guy was very calm and respectable so maybe these barelvis use us as a scapegoat to feel better about themselves?
    • just to add one more thing. This Singh is very strict that degh shud be prepared in sarbloh. If a rehitvaan amritdhari makes degh in sarbloh utensil while japping gurbani, degh becomes amrit.
    • Vaheguru ji ka khalsa Vaheguru ji ki fateh  Very true veerji.Indias time is coming soon.Bhai Rama Singh ji said 3 things will happen to india.A disease will spread, then storms will occur then a war.The disease is already spreading.India got hit by 2 super cyclones and is flooding at the moment. The last thing left is the war.
