For example if one made mistakes, but then their life revolves around doing or listening to path and simran in their last 10 years. Slowly starts to be more Gursikh for example stopping the judgemental gossip etc.... hasn't done much seva as by the time they really became a Gursikh they were too old to but did a lot of simran (like a couple of hours during Amrit vela for years and years)... actively says they want to go Waheguru... also passes during Amrit vela with asa di // on.... would they make it?

It’s so hard to answer this for you, it depends on your past janams how much bhagati was done, how much paralabdh is left, and where your avastha is at now. But also it depends on Guru Granth Sahib Ji, they are the living Guru, if they decide to look at you with kirpa dristhe then you will obtain sachkhand without the body needing to die. This is called jeevan mukat

Keeping your rehat parpak, Simran, shabad abiyaas, sadh sangat, seva these are your ‘steps in the right direction’

Thanks I’m asking because of my amritdhari grandparent who passed away and I always wonder if they made it. I hope they did. It’s where they really wanted to go.

It’s not the aim to get to the actual Sachkandh realm after death. That’s not Truth.

It’s about living the Truth whilst alive. Sachkandh is the realm of Truth. So applying Gurbani practically to your life, being a good soul, is the aim. To live in the moment, experience and enjoy life. We don’t live for tomorrow, we live for today. You can live Sachkandh on earth now.

Waheguru is already here... he’s everything and everyone you see and everything and everyone you don’t.

That's not what Gurbani says exactly...like usual

Naam simran is the only way. You don’t get mukhti after death. Mukhti is only achieved while you are alive. You have to reach sachkhand/Turiya avastha/ dasam dwar while you are alive. You don’t go to sachkhand after death, we need to reach there before we die through simran. Jeevan mukhti. Gurmukhs have told me those who are serious about naam simran should do at least 3-4 hours everyday (normally gursikhs do about 2 hours).

It all depends on  how much time of our life we live as per Gurmat.

Gurbani says: Prabh ka simran, garb na baseh.

The more we do His simran as stated by the 2 posters above, the more we get nearer to that Supreme Truth of Nam, until we get merged into it, but at the same time being a human being, without any arrogance or wickedness. Donkeys have no place in Sach Khand.

That´s it
