Yh i believe they are real, but i don't think they are those pretty blonde ladies with fish tails etc lol   They are probably really ugly, some kind of Humanoid sea/fish creature type of thing.

It would be cool if one was discovered.

I read somewhere that humans don't see them in mermaid form, we see them as fish.

Go easy on that stuff. You're slowly being hinduized. Hinduism is as scientific as any other religion. Don't let hindu nationalists hordes let u think otherwise.

..

How much have you studied GGS in detail for that matter.

Again sorry if I sound overbearing. But I know how egoists hindu fundamentalism works

Whats ur views about sadhguru (jaggi vasudev/of inner engineering) I am fascinated by him.

I really like the yogic philosophy/science he teaches. It helps explains many concepts in indian philosphy and gurbani. Like how we have 5 bodies. Food body, energy body, mental etc, u k ow the sukhsam and asthool sareers that can actually feel pain in hell etc.

That we are currently in the 84th creation.

That 108 bead malas are used cuz we have 108 chakras we can control and stengthen.

Wasn't Ravaan a Brahmin though? Considering he was Brahmas great grandson or something like that.

Tamils and other southern people are quite anti Bamhan.

Ravaan was the son of Rishi Visharvaa, grandson of Rishi Pulatsya, and great grandson of Brahma. So yes he was a brahman.

This is why Bhagwan Shree Raamchandar Ji Maharaj acquired the dosh of "brahman hathiya" when he killed Raavan, which is why a certain brahman did not accept his charity. As a penance, he conducted the ashwamedh yagya.

Jaggi aside, none of the above really contradicts Sikhi, because it's knowledge from the Vedic granths that even our gianis and parcharaks have to study for a grounding in Dharmic philosophy.

I know that if Sikh parchaar occasionally veered towards this really interesting type of spiritual and holistic approach it would attract many lapsed Punjabis, particularly those raised in the West, who currently feel quite disconnected and adrift but can't quite put their finger on how to get themselves out of various ruts and troughs. It might also help warding off the vulture-like attention of other faiths seeking easy converts.

Our history and the malign affects of Brahmanical mischief are essential to understand who we are, where we came from, and why we're in the shape we currently are, but some deeper theory of how the individual can enact day-to-day positive spiritual change, is needed for those who are a little more thoughtful and inquisitive.

Has he said something that contradicts Sikhi? I don't know. I know of him and his general philosophy, which I assume is derived from the Vedic framework, but I can't say I've watched any of his videos meticulously enough to see if he's promoting an anti-Gurmat narrative. If he has said something that contradicts Sikhi, then I will retract my statement about his ideology not contradicting Sikhi.

Has he said anything that contradicts Sikhi? If so, that information must be presented. If you don't like him because he's not Sikh, then be open and state that as well. Don't give the impression that I'm wholeheartedly endorsing someone when I have no more than a surface understanding of his intentions. If you know details about his heresy, then they need to be highlighted here.

When kathavachaks refer to terms and philosophies that obviously aren't directly tuks from Gurbani but are derived from Dharmic sources -- which most of them do because part of their training is to study Indian scriptures -- then I assume that's par for the course, isn't it?

I was listening to katha by Giani Pinderpal Singh where he started by describing the different types of guru (lower case) / teacher described in the Hindu granths. That info was used as the underlying basis from which he launched into Sikh-specific vichaar about our Gurus. So, it stands to reason there's information that's cross referenced. These gianis aren't referring to Vedic concepts they've manufactured themselves, are they? They must come from some other non-Sikh source?

You are right.  It will be time consuming to go through Gurbani and find lines to support concepts i said Gurbani supports:

Like how we have 5 bodies. Food body, energy body, mental etc, u k ow the sukhsam and asthool sareers that can actually feel pain in hell etc.

That we are currently in the 84th creation.

That 108 bead malas are used cuz we have 108 chakras we can control and stengthen.

Its a lot easier to make stuff up and discuss irrelevant stuff and get mad when someone challenges me on disrespecting Gurbani.  Plus I said Gurbani supports them.  So everyone else stfu.

Did you hear what Kim Kardashian wore lately!!!!

    • I saw the video on TikTok I think. It was at Wembley Stadium and I was unable to bookmark/favourite it because Tiktok decided to refresh. It was the "mainstream" Chaupai Sahib you will hear at a Singh Sabha gurdwaras, usually so-called Ramgarhia gurdwaras and also for the past 100 year or so in Harimandir Sahib under the current committee system.  In other words, the sikhs who give up or quit at Lord of the Almighty Sword, provides a shield for my protection. With Your Hands you have saved me. You bestow help on me at all places and rescue me from pain and the designs of my demons.401. Kharag kait mai sarann tihaaree. Aap haath dai leho ubaaree. Sarab thor mo hoho sahaaee. Dustt dokh té leho bachaaee. (25) O The Lord of Sword, I seek Your protection. With Your Hands you have guarded me. At All Times be my Support. Save me from wickedness and pain. (25).
    • Bro, can you post from what line to what line they did paath of?
    • A decade later and I can show you all what the problem is. Both Khalsa Primary School and students from Pioneer Secondary Academy were invited for Vaisakhi celebrations, and they done a Chaupai Sahib paat. The problem is, they performed the politics ridden anti-dasam Bhasauria mutilated cut version of Benti Chaupai which is disrespectful to traditional puraatan samrpadaiye and mahapurakh. If bani politics is going to be used on children to skip lines from Dasam Pita ji dhan dhan Guru Gobind Singh ji's Benti Chaupai Sahib, that certain groups think it is ok to do, then @serious guptwas right to raise concerns a decade ago! IN 2024, when sangat is much more knowledgable about dasam bani and katha, when we have so many resources - then if we are not allowing our children to learn bani shud and let them choose their groups to follow later, then this raises RED FLAGS IN 2024!!!! AKAAAAL!
