Where does the money come from? Hindu organisations ? Indian government?

Sirsa, Bagga are the most smart ones. Openly saying khalistan zindabaad wont give u anything. But being with the govt, and also putting forward sikh issues is the key now. We need more sikhs in the govt, police, ias, while also actively preaching, and educating our current generation. Khalistan right now is a lost cause. Sikhs now wont be able to achieve it. If we were living in 90s, and sikhs took certain correct steps, then it would have been possible. Follow @mssirsa on twitter. We need more sikhs like him.

Good post and question. I totally agree we need something , in my opinion I think :-

1. Have clearly defined roles and responsibilities . such as a team that can tackle Gurudawara issues , a team to tackle social media issues , a team to tackle political issues , a team to educate all , a team for sports issues/activities etc...

We have a lot of organisations here in the UK that are already doing this such as Sikh network , Basics of Sikhi , Sikh Federation , Sikh Council UK ( Do we need to bring them all together ?) and will they be willing to work together ?

Recently there has been a split in Sikh Council UK , due to disputes between different factions ? ( Sikh Council UK was good , but not publicized very well , now disputes/splits , the question arises will anything work , I think yes if we have the right people .

 

2. Pay the people

For those chosen , give them a wage ( The Gurudawara can fund this , or even the sangat. We have to hit the masses ( can use Sikh Channels to do so , if we clearly define the roles and objectives) .If there are approximately 700,000 Sikhs in the UK , each give £1 a week , we have in a month 2.8 million pounds. This can be used to pay the selected persons , and I think we can all spare £1 a week.

 

3. Give power to the selected body

Here in the UK , once a panel of people have been selected it should go to the Government and ask them to give powers ( maybe similar to the charity commission) , such that  they can serve appropriate penalties to those who are going against sikhi . (If one knows slating  Sikhi in any way,shape or form means punishment , the perpetrator's will think twice about doing bad deeds)

 

4. All need to be doing the same

Regardless of which Gurudawara one goes to , all should follow the same mariyada , and stop opening too many Gurudawara in the same area due to personal conflict.

 

5. Involve the young

Get the youth involved more , give them more responsibility may be advised by the experienced and older generation.

 

6. Use the TV channels

Educate and inform the community . We have 4 Sikh channels , mostly all of them are doing the same ( i.e. news , path , more news , bit of hot topics , more news ) … with the funding setup research centres in the UK , so proper research of sikhi can be done with visual aids and presented on the channels. One of them can be the Sikh History starting from 14th Century ( from Hindu/sufi rule , to Mugal/Persian rule , to Gurus times , Maharaja Ranjeet Singh times, British Raaj etc...). I think if we know our history , one can realise the sacrifices Sikhs made so we can have the life we have today . You never know some diamonds may arise and lead the way .

I think India is a different kettle of fish , makes my blood boil when I see a sikh being beaten , kesh pulled , distaar taken off , and this is by the Police , who should be the protectors but rather they are the abusers. Hence no one really stands up , incase they are framed and banged up in jail.

Unfortunately the modern day Nihang Dals aren't even the same as those in the past. These guys openly let missionaries convert Sikhs. No Puratan Nihang would let that happen. As I stated before, they could easily set up camp at various villages at start doing parchar. Just because you're a Nihang doesn't mean you can't be called out. Everyone needs to be held accountable. Whether you may be Taksali, Nihang or whatever. It's a failure that falls collectively. Its been this way for a while, ever since the annexation of the Panjab by the British. 

Now... We all know the SGPC simply will not give up its power. The return to Sikhi in Panjab has essentially been confined by the greed of money, and the lust for power. This is all among our own. In the West, we have the good old committees... Whose only concern is to pump out campaigns for free food (Not saying its bad) But that ain't going to cut it. People are literally just going to the gurdwara for food. Don't get me started on the Nagar Kirtans... Instead of preparing to give their positions up to the younger generation, like in the past, these guys are literally starting up their careers. Dissolving these systems are crucial. We have to return to our Gurus form of leadership with the Panj Pyare.  One thing I can accept about the previous Singh Sabha was them pumping out literature. In a modern day sense, the internet is our best bet. Bhai Jagraj Singh was already onto something. However, it looks like Basics of Sikhi has really fell off ever since his passing. There are many who are passionate, it's all about letting those individuals into leadership positions.

Nihungs nowadays are just bhangis who eat meat. Most of the nihungs dint even look at Kharku movement, and ignored the killings. Then they say we are gurus ladli fauj, what are u doing to be ladli fauj? Over that those 96k (96 crori singhs) are the most superstitious people i have seen. They belive 96 crore shaheed singhs are gonna come and bring khalsa raj for 14000 years, until kaljug.

True veerji but it is true that there will be 96 crore khalsa and there will be khalsa raj and there are shaheed singhs who have come back and are waiting for hukam before they gather again but then again we cannot just wait for them.We need to be prepared and handle things by ourselves too.I agree with you veerji we cannot just call ourselves the fauj of our Guru we need to be worthy of that

Very true veerji.You are right on the reunification of the khalsa panth.We NEED to be one again.If we stay divided we cant do anything.The state of the panth is quite bad now.Guru Maharaj gave us kirpans and gave us the hukam to protect others from tyranny.Unfortunately, we cannot even protect ourselves now.But after 84 things have changed upstairs.Akaal Purakh has given Hukam to thousands to take birth again and lead the panth.When the time is right we will need to give our fullest support to them.

Veerji kede granth vich likha haiga? Plus sikhs don't believe in superstitions, like christians like jesus will come back. Khalsa Raj will surely come but not through 96 k shaheed singhs, but through active sikh leadership.

No veerji it is not written in Guru Granth Sahib ji.Im quite sure it is a bachan from Guru Gobind Singh ji.Yes I agree the panth does not believe in superstitions but the 960 million khalsa I'm talking about is not about shaheed singhs.What I mean is that now there are shaheed singhs which have already taken birth and are on this earth and that during Khalsa raj the Khalsa population will increase to 960 million.Hope I cleared it up
