unfortunately  those jobs have now been farmed out to haranvi hindus in fact they passed an act which says 70% quota of govt jobs must be filled by harabvis and biharis before sikh punjabi in govt jobs .

aim for the 30%. Still better than wasting time, money and energy in useless khalistani rallies. Help punjab and sikhi grow

That's the prob with diaspora. They want khalistan, bt when someone gives a way to make raj, they reject it. What plan do u propose? If being a gursikh gave someone khalistan then we would have gotten it in 80s, 90s. I agree being a gursikh is imp, but just being a gursikh is a problem. India isnt gonna give u punjab because someone decided to hold a referendum. India is worlds 4th largest military power, even if 25 mil sikhs are against it, they can still beat us. Think logically. I want raj too, but rallies, referendums ain't gonna work. we can't even get our political prisoners out, and ur talking abt khalistan. If u want raj, its a long term plan. Not a 3 1/2 year plan of continuous rallies outside UN Head Office

when all of us actually become sikhs of the Guru we will not have the thadabandian of now where your jathe is more important than Gurhukham to love one another as family and protect and educate the weaker siblings so no sikh is left behind. If we do that we have Guru ji's support fully and no worldly power has ever destroyed that . education in sikhi and support of our neediest is the first priority else they will be picked off by missionaries and other dawah outfits . It's the ignorance of our past history that opens the door for people to create doubt or inferiority complexes , to be swayed by GOI /GOP propaganda , to accept the cr4p that is being ladled out .

Bhai jagraj Singh ji had a point, why only think small Guru ji gave bachan of 960 million Khalse and that will happen , but we have to create them from all areas of the world , all areas of India , then every national collective of sikhs will be commanding not requesting/demanding  respect of our asthaans and our ways .

Should there be a modern day Singh Sabha movement? How would a modern day Singh Sabha movement even look like? What would the main goals be? How would those goals be achieved?

Skhs are far too splintered these days for any movement to be effective. The Singh Sabha lehar was ok-ish but in the long-run has caused some major problems. Rather than look for a panth-wide movement, I think we should look at village level movements which can then expand. It will be nigh on impossible trying to find a leader that majority of Sikhs would accept.

where is it written? in SGGS? In dasam granth? In panth parkarsh?

Veerji if I'm not wrong it is not written. It was a bachan Guru Gobind Singh ji gave verbally.Bhai Rama Singh ji confirms this in his autobiography so maybe you might want to check his book out.It is a really good book

Veere sorry if ur hurt but i dont believe in things like this. It can be easily corrupted. If it was in dasam granth, then i would have believed, but bachans are hard to believe, especially these types of bachans

Give it any name, but the main objective should be to bring us the awareness of the supreme importance of the teachings in the Bani, to make possible our union  with our origin, Waheguru Akal Purukh.

We’re already merged with Him. We just need to remember and accept it. We are Truth, He’s us and We’re Him.

Nah it's fine dont worry you asked for the answer so I just gave you the answer. What you say is true though, many times some bachans can be corrupted but based on my experience I feel that this bachan is true.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
