Vaheguru ji ka Khalsa Vaheguru ji ki fateh

If I'm not wrong 12 to 6 is amritvela.About 1130 we are supposed to get up and do ishnaan. Then during amritvela we do 5 banis,2 to 3 hours of simran,Asa di vaar and if we have time other banis(E.g Sukhmani Sahib)

Edit:I just realised I did not answer the question.?.If I'm not wrong 3 to 4 is strongest.I heard someone say that 3 to 4 is gold,4 to 5 is silver and 5 to 6 is bronze.

Bhul Chuk Maf?

Brother, is it quite common for people to fall asleep when doing naam simran? If so, does it mean, we haven’t done any progress in our abhiyas? What becomes of people like us that fall asleep while remembering God at Amritvela? Do we go to hell? Can you pls answer these questions, as I am really anxious to know.

CHaamCHrick Jee,

how would you explain if a child goes to school but instead of paying attentio to what is being taught in the class, falls asleep or keeps on looking at the walls or the ceiling.

How can ever that child learn something and become a graduate one day?

Well, that is as per worldy "learning", but in the path of bhakti, Waheguru is not like that, He is a boundless ocean of love and mercy, thus for sure He will give us better envoirements in future lives to evolve spiritual wise.

But then, if He has already blessed us as human beings, why not make the most of it right now?

Just tell me, when we go to watch a movie, or a concert, or whatever worldy entertainment, do we fall asleep?

No, isn´t it?

Then why when we engage in His bhakti?

You see, if we fall asleep, means that either we are not doing our spiritual practices when we  are fresh and alert, or, we have not even a tiny  value of His Omniscience and Omnipresence.

Jut go through the lives of Guru Sahiban or Bhagat Jan, and try to get inspiration of how He should be loved and given our devotion.

See the love for example of Fifth Patshahee for His Father Guru Ram Das in the shabad : mera man lochay Guru darshan...

How long did your experience last?

Not sure if it is common veerji.I heard a katha that if while doing simran or path and u fall asleep if when you wake up in the morning immediately the first thing u say is the shabad pr continuing the simran. Then in dharamraj court it is written that whole night u were doing simran or a shabad. If u fall asleep during Amritvela it wont cause u to go hell.

Bhul Chuk Maf ??

When I say I fall asleep, I am ashamed to say this,  but I can actually hear myself snoring! I feel really very bad after this and sometimes I just want to give up but I can’t do that. May be I am not meant to wake up at amrit wale, I don’t know.

Doing Simran mind becomes calm. Heart, breathing and blood flow slow down, it’s quite natural to feel sleepy. A cold ishnaan before starting Simran will help

I have warm ishnaan and do my banies first and then Simran. To be honest, I don’t even know when I fall asleep!

I am trying my best but it doesn’t seem to be working. I have tried different times before 6 am, but I still fall asleep.
