What is it with these protests. Regarding the police shooting of a black man. Where these protests justified or going over the top? On one hand you have innocent blacks being arrested by the police for no reason. Then you have other type who are going over the top without good reason.

Asians get more racism , more violent attacks less employment opportunities.Asians are less likely to be friended by europeans than black people. How many asian pundits are there for cricket. What is the cricket player/pundit ratio.Does an Asian history month exist. If the majority of violent encounters with police are from black people, then more black people will be hurt by the police.Gujrati people are not violent with police.not many gujrati women have been killed by the police

Black people of African descent and white western European people have a long history in the US. Many American white people resent and hate black people and see them as inferior beings. Many black people feel their ancestors played a big part in the development of the country (albeit through slavery) and have been largely written out of the countries 'history'. It's irrefutable that black people (male and female)  have been on the receiving end of extreme violence by whites (both joe averages and those in power positions) for a long time. Lynchings and 'fit ups' weren't uncommon only a few decades ago. The Klu Klux Klan and neo-nazis are still about in numbers there. During slavery times, white men essentially owned the black women on the plantations, whilst a black man who had any relationship with a white women was usually tortured or killed  (or both). They have been fighting against this systematic oppression for some time. What I think has happened is that the racism against blacks in the US (which is endemic) had become more covert.

I think you need to see what has happened in both historical context, as well as the modern 'on the ground' situation. This isn't just about a few black guys being murdered by the police in recent times, it has deeper longer history in my opinion.

I think black people are doing a wonderful and brave job in highlighting their grievances.   I think Sikhs could learn a thing or two about this from them in this department.

Wasn't one of BLM's manifesto points about breaking up the family?

Was it not found by three miltant black marxist lesbian feminists?

Most of the blacks getting murdered are black men, lesbians don't really care about men so who are they really campaigning for?

Most of those BLM protest marches have more white people in it (Antifa gets mixed up in it, I sometimes wonder if they are the same organisation)

There's a difference between the organization and the concept or movement. But yeah, been co-opted like usual. Doesn't change the fact that black lives do matter and extrajudicial killings gotta stop.

This is the problem with the proposed solutions  with 'policing'.

For every bad officer, there are plenty of more good police officers.

Been listening to a lot of podcasts and interviews regarding policing and there is agreement that there needs to be better training and better filtration of better candidates.

The BLM are talking about de-funding police, but what does that even mean?

If you stop funding for policing, there is no law and order and it gets worse.

You get more crime, those areas become no go areas and who are the perpetrators, they are black. Who are the victims, they are black. More blacks get killed.

You end up with a worse problem than before.

The so called good cops are standing quietly behind the blue line backing their comrades who commit racially motivated murder etc. When their voice is the loudest about abhorrent police practices, then they'll be good cops. Until then they're complicit.

Do you have any stats to prove that all black perpetrators that are killed by police encounters are racially motivated.

Maybe some of them are not racially motivated.

Some interesting stats here. Since 2017, police killing of civilians is going down. More whites are killed, but in proportion rate more blacks are killed by the police.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
