Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fatah

Veerjee,

i can only saw a few word about Nanaksar. They were Started by the great Brhamgiani Sant Baba Nand Singh. They were a very pious soul born in the late 19th century. They started parchar of Sri Guru Granth Sahib. They met with another soul Baba Jeevan Singh Jee. They were both students of the great Sant baba Harnam Singh Bucho Walae. Baba Nand singh jee did everything according to the sant they followed and both themselves and bba jevan singh were rewarded with one wish each from the grace of God. Bhai jeevan singh jee asked to be blessed with the art of keertan to be able to join one sould with god whcih was granted. Baba Nand singh jee on the other hand asked to be in constant communion with Satguru Nanak Dev Jee which was granted. After this his mission spread where langar was distributed openly and at all parchars no maya was allowed to be near the sants as they didnt need the money. At no point did they have a gurdwara they were very nomadic any any temporary habitat created was knocked down after they left. The pictures you see of guru nanak dev jee at Nanaksar were done by Baba nand singh jee. They asked a painter to paint the image of the satguru but every time he did the sant said that looks nothing like them. The painter stated he was doing it out of thought only so baba ji asked him to come early morning and when he did they changed their form to the splender of the satguru.

They past their spiritual throne onto Baba Ishar Singh Jee who were formally known as Baba Inder Singh Jee before amrit Sanskar. They Preached the same for many years also the message started by Baba nand singh Jee.

>

After them they passed the seat to numerous sants such as baba amar singh jee, baba gurdev singh jee, baba kundan singh jee and baba miah singh jee.

Unfortunatly i connot go into greater detail i do not have the knowledge to do so.

Please take a look at www.babanandsinghji.com it is insightful

I hope i have helped you in the slightest.

Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fatah

Sadhsangat,

It is wery comman that many akhand paths are done together when it comes to an auspicios occaision. The Nanaksar Gurdwara in the UK are no different. The Nanaksar thath in Wolverhampton has done 101 akhand paths for the barsi of baba nand singh ji, same in coventry and in Snitterfield Baba Nahr Singh Jee who are the grandson of Baba Nand Singh Jee erects a hugh tent in the fields. They have completed 301 akhand paths. Its eye opening the amount to pathis and gianis willing to help out. Each one will do anything to contribute to the akhand paths of Guru Sahib

nanaksaar is not a gurdwara its a dera, they do not bow to the authority of akaal takht

nanaksaar wuz a great dera till the death of sant ishar singh ji after that it went down hill like now their sants are at the same level as guru ji goto a dera and c for ur self

lol rolleyes.gif

You got it all wrong bro! How can you say Nanaksar Gurdwara is just a dera, shame on you man. I go frequently to the nanaksar gurdwara near my house, and the respect they show to Guru sahib, I beleive they don't show that much respect elsewhere. First of all if they have Guru Granth Sahib ji maharaj da parkash then its a Gurdwara, NOT A DERA!! B)

It was never a dera, even when baba ishar singh ji was alive, and its still not a dera. It has never gone downhill, and have always been in chardi kalaa!!

Try going to Nanaksar Gurdwara for a month, you'll know for yourself! rolleyes.gif

khalsa paji/panji

lol ni

its true without a nishan sahib, and commitness to akaal takht it is nto a gurdwara

more over the now sants there dont' even use real kirpans, but ones aroudn their knecks, yes theys how siri guru granth sahib ji much respect, but who r they to put pictures of sants (mortals) at the same level as a guru sahibs picture

ie. vancouver nanaksaar, big corner pictures of the great gur-sikh sant nand singh ji like huge bigger then life size, and at the same level smaller pics of siri guru nanak dev ji maharaj, i dont' c that as nice.

more over if u ever goto nanaksaar in punjab there are like 5sants there, each with a fuid within them selves, there is dicussion on declaring nanaksaar tanhia or what everu call it, i'll post a link.

And when the nanaksaar sant ji died in 95 or 96 in vancouver they displayed his body in the main hall like a freak show, is'nt the body supposed to be just a hunk of nothing ness?

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
