Illi Najwa Saddique, a business lawyer in Malaysia, has chosen to take the name Navpreet Kaur during her Anand Karaj with award winning India hockey captain Manpreet Singh and she has moved from Malaysia to Jalandhar to reside with her in-laws in a joint family.

Now, news reports are suggesting that Manpreet has converted to Islam ... not sure what the truth is !!!

According to claims, her husband, an Indian Hockey Captain, had not converted to Islam, sparking rumours that Najwa herself may have opted to leave the religion of Islam.

Many have since accused PAS of practicing double standards over its self-proclaimed mission to uphold the sanctity of Islam.

Back in February, the party’s mouthpiece ripped an AMANAH minister apart after photos and videos of Nur Sajat performing umrah dressed as a woman went viral.

manpreet carries alot if responsibility on his shoulders and his act of conversion would have not gone down well with few of followers of Sikhism

i am not against Islam, but just feel that in a marriage the faith of husband should be carried forward ... No pls,do not label me as a chauvenist

That's very good to hear that Illi Najwa has married a Sikh guy. But I don't understand why Malaysia government is so corrupted and can't mind their own business because they called her to the government office to give some explanation about her going against rules of Islam and marrying a punjabi guys. Generally Malaysia's government is already corrupted and they have no other better work to do. I'm from Malaysia btw and I hate our government.
