The irony of islam though is that it thrives on the leftists of any liberal vibrant democracy to garner sympathy , effectively neutering the reasonable part of the right-wing with "islamophobia" , but when Islam becomes majority and there's no need for pretense of loving democracy, democracy is often thrown out of the system and you end up with either an "islamic republic" or sharia law

Off topic, but the simple answer is Cassius Clay's conversion to Islam, who eventually became to be known as Mohammed Ali. Boxers aren't exactly known for their intelligence (not saying they're fools or mentally infirm), but boxers converting to Islam has become a meme, as if it's Islam that grants them magical boxing abilities.

Clay would've been a great fighter without Islam. Tyson was a great fighter before Islam. They succeeded IN SPITE OF Islam, not because of it, and that's a principle that applies in a wider civilisational sense when Islamic apologists smother certain achievements and claim them as evidence of the superiority of their ideology, conveniently choosing to ignore successes and achievements of individuals and groups prior to them succumbing to the emotionally and intellectually stultifying creed.

Black people went into Islam only because they are spiritual people who had their Dharam taken and were brutalized by christianity. They needed to step out from the slavemasters religion and into something...Islam was the closest thing to what they were accustomed to so the transition in that direction was easiest.

Islam offers regimented discipline and a clear sense of what it considers to be right and wrong. For a person who has suffered a difficult life -- and isn't too bothered about the deeper spiritual and moral issues of Dharam -- following something like Islam can be the difference between drowning or surviving in a figurative sense. For a boxer it can help in reinforcing and focusing their decision-making in order to make them function more effectively as fighter.

But I still feel there are some who look at Ali, and think, "I'll convert to Islam because it worked for him." Islam is as much the religion of the oppressor of blacks as Christianity is. History is unequivocal about it. But for some reason this is purposefully downplayed in recent history, probably because we're meant to sympathise with these innocent, self-effacing Muslims who have known nothing but kindness and cooperation since they emerged on this planet, lol. ?

Yes, I do believe black people are intensely spiritual, and somewhere along the way in some hazy period of history we aren't privy to, they lost touch with something of themselves that was central to their being. I've been reading something recently that posits a few interesting theories as to why this might have happened, but it's all new to me, and I'm not sure I'm ready to process it as truth just yet.

Yeah. Unfortunately trading the slavemasters religion for the slavetraders is only so big a step.

There was this muslim cricket player, Usman Khawaja, his wife converted to marry him. She went to a catholic school, and her mates were saying when she told them, this is how muslims act, having christain girlfriends and converting them.

On the other hand Sikhs marry non Sikhs who don't convert to Sikhism causing confusion in the next generations who are confused about their religion.

Yes, the Sikh is more likely to subtly re-adjust their own beliefs and accommodate the non-Sikh partner rather than insist on it being the other way round. It's kind of understandable when the relationship is Sikh Female and Non-Sikh Male (because of the supposed power dynamics of the Male-Female coupling regardless of background), but it doesn't explain why it's Sikhi that ends up compromised when the coupling is Sikh Male and Non-Sikh Female. Is it a cultural thing? An inferiority complex? A lack of loyalty and ambivalence for wanting to see Sikhi grow?

In Muslims though even a non Muslim male has to convert to Islam before he can marry a Muslim female.

Their fundamentals are very clear as compared to our lot. That is also one of the reasons of our declining population.

It's coded into their doctrine, because their founder and those who came after understood human nature. I'm not suggesting Muslims never marry non-Muslims, but there's still a sense of stigma to it. Leaving these issues at the discretion of the individual means it's a coin toss as to whether the creed survives or not.

Well whatever they are doing is definitely working as there are now more than 1.8 billion of them in the world today.

Its not just the numbers it's the quality. Muslims are always at the bottom of multicultural society.

The likes of Muhammad Ali and Malcolm X were fools. At one point they believed in the nation of islam which believes that white people were created by a mad black scientist in an experiment that went wrong.

Then they converted to regular islam. Malcolm X complained about white Christian oppression but was able to cavort around with white women in America in the 1940s. He went to the middle East in the 1960s and was treated well by the high society there which made him think that was how all black people would be treated. However that was never the case, Saudi Arabia only reluctantly abolished slavery a couple of years before his visit! Malcolm X was simply naieve. To this day blacks are referred to as Abids (slaves) in the Middle East and North Africa, they would be murdered for trying to marry an Arab woman.

That is how Muslims and Christians convert in a lot of cases- through trickery. Plus we don't need a bunch of dumb jail thug converts.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
