I think it was just some Khatri Hindus who did that. They are also the community that has the most shared surnames between Sikhs and Hindus in Punjab.

Yes this is true. But it is sad most born abd brought up in foreign lands dont know this. Many Hindus, I know goto Gurudwara more & read bani more than temple. I have seen many such Hindus.

I also knew of one Pakistani muslim, who use to come to the Gurudwara. When he died he said his wish was to die as per sikh rite, but his son burried him and then his grave burst open, again they burried and again it burst open,

Therefore, we should remember there is no hindu & no muslim and strive for unity, instead of mocking others, which is what most foreign born Sikhs do.
