Don't hate on sikh men / women who cut their hair.

Remember that which you discard will be picked by the enemy as a tool, they will utilise the frustration and angst in monehs mind against you.

I say this while not downplaying the importance of sikhi saroop . I know of many haircut men in my family who have raised their sons as sardars. I think some ppl are just not sardar material but still they're useful In something else surely. It's like fingers discarding the ear because they're not part of hand, not knowing that they're part of something bigger

Think big bro. . bhul chuk maaf

Btw I m sardar

There are great arguments for keeping Kesh like we know. Doesn't mean there has to be any argument against Monay. Many were Shaheed in 1984.

You think the way the political parties in hindustan massively amplify the issue? Like..if Monay can vote in and control the Sikh political parties, what stops all the hindus from just joining the party as "monay"?

So then Sikhs have to be fearful and strict about who is and isn't a Sikh for the political party bs?

And then suddenly Monay and Khalsa are at odds everywhere? When before it was just Khalsa and future Khalsa, with the Khalsa leading but all Sikhs?

I'd rather see a unified Monay Khalsa than try and preserve an overwhelmed hamstrung political party.

I'm ignorant of hindustan political structure largely, but is that a factor you think or is that not how that works?

Like if a dude loves Sikhi and is down to rock the Santali for Dharam Yudh I'm okay if he had cut hair or smoked a cigarette before, if the Paanth needs him, if people's families need him.

No need to get rid of that dude. Looks far more inconspicuous for some things.

Some Monay respect Sikhi more in a way than taking Amrit with an empty heart and being fake.

Nothing beats real Gursikh though, but that isn't everybody.

And I do think we should encourage everyone to take Amrit and keep Kesh.

Enemies of the Paanth can walk themselves up to the Bata and put on Saroop too though.

@californiasardar1 I personally have seen/know many Keshdharis who do all puthe kaam, and honestly should  not even be considered a part of the Panth. Being Mona doesn’t mean a Sikh has given up on all the values. Do you see how divided we are already? What is the point of even making such comments. It will literally make people turn away. Someone might come on here to reconnect with Sikhi- and all this will do is turn them away again.

Bhul Chuk Maaf Karyo?

Even if one is a mona, Sikhi can be entrenched into the DNA.

They can act like Sikhs without even realising it.

Where did I defend keshdharis who do puthe kam?

Veerji,

I just wanted to say that being Keshdhari or Mona, or even obedience of the panj kakkars should not be a definite measure of someones’s character who wants to do their part for the Panth. You had said mone Singhs should not be taken seriously in this regard.

Loyalty and devotion for Guru Sahib gradually leads to prem for his rehat. Castigating your own people when we should be coming together is unwise.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
