Don't you like India? Our goal at there is to attach ourselves with Naam, bani, sewa. Yes of course we can do it at home to but I feel the vibration of bhagti in India is much stronger. And there's so many itihaasik Gurdwara. No, you can't get disease like maharaj said

ਸਰਬ ਰੋਗ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਹਰਿ ਜਨੁ ਰਹਤ ।।

Such a devotee of Lord is free from all diseases.

Your age doesnt limit what you do. Think positive come on ✨

How will you support yourself over there? Food, shelter, etc?

If you've gown up in any western country, then you will be incompatible with India. It's nice to visit like a tourist; pampered by relatives, having Darshan of Dharmic Asthaans, with a safe and secure lifestyle to head back to once you've had your fill. But if you want to prolong your stay, be very very cautious (especially if your are young, female, or non-Indian).

Other than that, life is a great teacher. You can go there and try living out your fantasy.

I agree, I used to think I could live there but in my most recent two visits I realised I could not.

but everyone is different and you never know unless you try it

Okay yes, it's not like I'm running there now and leaving my home and going there only myself. Yes it can be dangerous if I don't have any guardian with me but hey I'm not doing that now.  Yes but I would definitely love to stay in India for maybe a month when maharaj bless me. I will finish my studies and work because who's gonna pay for my ticket? I have to pay it myself. Many of you are not really understanding me here.

Do not need to go to India for this.

plenty of beautiful and cheap opportunities here in western world.

- Buy dozen acres of rural land, mountain side
- Go off-grid - Solar, Propane/gas, Fireplace

India is polluted - air, water, land etc.

So much of negativity, yes we know it's polluted but it's not like we gonna die there once we step in there. I bet your country has a bit of pollution too. I am not a western world type of girl.

Let’s say I am a citizen of the world after having lived and worked in many different countries except India, we have lost that innate feeling of belonging somewhere normal fortunate people have. We have both reached a stage where we are looking into very simple back to basics and no fuss life. Do you think it would be better if we bought a small house or flat there in rural settings near a community of local organic farmers? At the moment we are waiting for Covid regulations to relax before we book out airline tickets. Our aim is to buy something small near the above mentioned community and travel everywhere visiting our ithiasic gurdwaras and staying there as long as we can, even if it means we have to sleep on the grounds of these gurdwaras under their luscious green trees or verandas. We honestly can’t wait to try it out.  We are both Amritdharies and it would ever so nice to meet and interact with others on the same path. Who knows, we might even end up making lots of life long friends who only speak of spirituality or spiritual matters and nothing else. Can’t wait.

Singh Ji Singh Ji, we would like to work in those places that you have mentioned on very little pay or even without it, as long as we can travel to all the places in India that are part of our Sikh heritage to educate ourselves of who we are and where we originate from. Thanks for your help. Again, the idea is to live our lives in very rural, simple, back to to basics life with no mod cons to depend on and no unwanted distractions from anywhere.

This person really understands me. I am nothing infornt blessed souls like you.

good people?  more like devious, lying, money hungry, unprincipled, unethical, etc etc.  they wont waste any opportunity to try and rip you off.

also you have romantic notions of not having access to hot water, heating, basic hygiene faciilties?

theres rubbish and toxic pollution galore.

great post
