Can an amritdhari use herbal extracts which hv alcohol?

The essential compounds in herbs only dissolve in alcohol.

alcohol is the only edible solvent.

I'm not amritdhari yet but how are you supposed to avoid products with alcohol in them? what about tooth paste? deodorant? cologne? mouth wash etc ? Cake and chocolate with alcohol in it tastes nice.

There are toothpaste and mouth wash without alcohol. Usually the cake and chocolate with alcohol comes from the vanilla extract and there is vanilla extract without alcohol.
 

As for cologne and deodorant, there are alternatives as well but I wouldn't say its necessary as we don't eat or drink it.

If it dissolves in alcohol it dissolves in fat. If somehow it only dissolves in alcohol, cook off the solution and rehydrate.

Alcohol is an excellent solvent for herbs, because it can extract the compounds and active ingredients that aren't water-soluble, such as essential oils, alkaloids and resins. It's also the only edible solvent that can effectively extract the ingredients required.17-Oct-2017

Those same things can be heat extracted, oil extracted, steam extracted, solvent extracted then evaporated. 

Look how they make essential oils in general and live resin from cannabis for example. 

Look at Sukha for example. It's an herb. People smoke it, bake into butter and eat it, steam distill it, grind it, heat press it, ice water sedement and seperate it, beat and sift it, make it into tea, even butane and evaporate it before making the alcohol tincture known as emerald dragon. Even people that like Sukha and alcohol don't ruin their Sukha by using alcohol as the solvent or delivery vehicle.
