I was at the gurdwara on Sunday and I was deeply hurt how the gurdwara committee showed satkaar for guru Granth shaib ji, this event has deeply hurt me,

2 things happed

so the fist one was, our local mp was gone come, so the gurdwaras committee decided to stop the Katha half way through so the mp could speak and when she finished Katha was resumed, this shows that katha has no importance to them. and the guru words are less important and some MP is bigger than guru shaib.

and when the Katha resumed and the mp was leaving all the committee members got up and left the divan with the mp, to me it just looked like they don't repeat guru Granth shaib as out guru

and while the whole committee was escorting the mp outside, there was no committee member left in the divan to tell the Sangat the next programme and the Parcharak how long he's time on stage was. they had just anbandoded guru sahibs Darbar

I feel this is very sad, that we have people running gurdwaras who dont even have satkaar for Maharaj and it has opened my eyes that we need change

Vaheguru ji ka khalsa Vaheguru ji ki fateh

Very true veerji.Unfortunately this is the case in many countries.People treat MPs and people with authority with so much respect but they don't do same for the True King of Kings and the One with the highest Authority, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj. So sad,in my country some of the committee members are even Alcoholics! So sad to see this beadbi happening.

Bhul Chuk Maf ?

it happens everywhere bro and its really sad.

my opinion!

we have identified the cause and lets just work for it to be resolved.

solutions could be:

1. make a satikaar committee and stand up for it.

2.  become a member of gurughar's committee because not many young people in the committee (most gurughar). mostly elderly uncle are in control and we have to be part of committee  to make a change.

note: I am not saying uncles are not doing a good job at gurughar, we just have to work with them and make them understand of the points which they aren't aware of.
