Mmm. Bear is probably ambitious. Maybe with numbers?  They find bears dead of old age that have dozens of handgun bullets smashed into their forhead bone than didn't really phase them. Maybe if you got the classic double lung heart shot but...or hit aorta just right while they reared. 

Their caratoids look absolutely buried beneath fur armor. 

Eye, or back of upper inside jaw into brain? Or through the ear canal maybe?

A spear pit and bait might be better bro. Bear are fierce and hardy. That's not Jhatka though. I guess that's a good way to look at them. Very hard to Jhatka.
