Summary

1. Capitol Police say a suspect "rammed a vehicle" into officers at a vehicle access point to the Capitol complex in Washington
2. The suspect then got out of the vehicle holding a knife and ran towards officers
3. One officer has died of their injuries, another is hurt. The suspect died after being shot by police
4. Capitol police say the incident "does not appear to be terrorism-related"
5. It happened at the North Barricade vehicle access point on Constitution Avenue
6. The US Capitol complex has been locked down
7. In January a pro-Trump mob stormed the Capitol in protest at the result of the 2020 presidential election

Mental health issue is on rise. It is so high due to covid restrictions that US Govt released three digit hotline forever to those seeking mental help.

This is all possible and having mental health problems may be a defence for these agencies. 

His family did disclosed that he was going thru a very rough patch including drugs and suffering from mental health. The poor and underprivileged folks are in bad condition in US. There is some serious uptick in mental health cases in Canada and us.

Perhaps.

My feeling is that if this particular attack was hatched or encouraged by a scheming third party for a vested interest, the guy would've had guns. He also would've been white. The nervous, reluctant reaction to the attack on the part of the news media suggests the attacker didn't tick any of the necessary boxes required for the media to slip into "Narrative" mode. Maybe this time it was a lone nutter.

I don't think govt agenda have much to do with 'Left' and 'Right' - I used to think that way but i wouldn't pigeonhole societal/political issues that way

Maybe in the beginning but in the US, there has been an increase in tension between the left and right that has building up over the past couple of years. Biden is undoing the policies of Trump and there has been an increase of immigrants coming to the borders which is why I think the government agenda changes with the political parties. Moreover, we see how the media (both left and right) is selectively choosing the news that fits their agenda and creating a narrative.
