Chandi di vaar maryada which is Gurbani.

That video that Suchi posted was not Gurbani.

Thank you bro. What does the video say though.  It must say more than hold Shastar and do Chandi di // every night.

Why did bhenji say she wants to move to hindustan? What was weird about the video title?

Are you deliberately trying to be offensive. I'm a Khatri, and believe I'm related to Guru Nanak Singh ji as my family is from the same caste and clan which produced all 10 gurus.

Dude there is so much Gurbani denouncing caste. Stop associating yourself with a caste and instead focus on your actions and kamai. Waheguru won't look at you through the lens of caste so leave it man

Also...Guru Nanak Singh ji?

Apologies if I caused offence. That was not my intention but to share something that worked for me on an emotional level.

None taken by me bro just wanted to clear up the misconceptions.

I looked at the translation of the Chandi di vaar shared which referred to the Turks which is not relevant to the present. Doesn't that make it time barred?

Not time barred but it is relating to the events of that time. Gurbani has many layers and can be looked through both a historical lens while simultaneously a spiritual sense.

I am very aware of my actions as I have been brought up that way.

I am not caste, religion, race conscious due to my upbringing.

Ok, i said that because you said i am a khatri and that is an association you made. Moreover we all trace our lineage to the Gurus when Guru Gobind Singh ji becomes our father.

However you have not mentioned the absolutely insulting remark about Hindus.

let's go through his words line by line:

"that s a bad post."

Nothing insulting there about Hindus

"Chandi di Vaar of Dasmesh Pita has infinitely times more bir rass than Sanskrit hindu version."

Agreed, to Sikhs, Gurus baniaa are superior

"if Sanskrit version was strong, why Hindus hv such cowardly past?"

This was interpreted by me as a reference to our ithihaas and the nature of these Hindus throughout Sikh History

"Brahmins who read these Sanskrit prayers all the time, r the most coward and deceiving people on the planet."

Another reference to our history

I know for a fact that shastar veer was not making a blanket statement of "I hate all Hindus" and the Gurus have often criticized the actions of these so called pious Hindus.

How can you claim to be a follower of one who denounced both?

Both what?

Turak is still relevant.  They're a hot topic for us lately.

Not the most urgent priority though. China, Pakistan, USA, UK are the ones that have been intervening in our affairs the most for the past 300 years.

My understanding is that mantras have to be very precise, that's all.

I mean it was the word used then for your enemy today. The one you're most concerned with.

The Gurus clearly changed the mantras to suit their time and situation to make clear their intention.

Prayers are always personal and need to suit the situation.

The term was used specifically in my opinion. They have a ship crashed in the caucus mountains that serves as their citadel.

That's why caucasians are caucasians.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
