The whole quandry of how many to make. Only one? Only one half mad. Buut..only one horcrux destroyed and you're messed ...so you need at least two. So that's half mad and half mad again. 

By that point you're too mad from the first two and next thing you know you're five deep and look like a snake in the mirror. 

Kind of like drinking that way I guess.
