They don't have to stay in a hotel in Canada though do they?  Its in Surrey, what's the situation like in Surrey with covid?

I'm not from BC, however, judging from a recent article it looks like it is a hotspot. Mirroring what @luckysingh99has mentioned, your family is going to have to stay in a hotel. There is a possibility that this could change with the coming months.

Honestly I just zoned out by the time it was the second wave!  When the second wave began I stopped watching the news or paying attention to what was going on around me. It didn't even know we were going into lockdown again.  I just completely zoned out with everything.

Yeah I was watching a video and its costing the families around 20,000 rupees to cremate their dead relatives. The ambulance drivers alone charge 7000 rupees for a 3 mile journey!  So some poor people can't afford all this so they are dumping the dead bodies on road sides. I watched a video where some of the angry relatives started beating the ambulance driver up at the cremation ground.

In the UP the local panchayat elections are taking place now.

Yeah I also stopped watching the news about 8 months ago, same old same old.

Indians are really cunning and selfish. Even here in England lots of Indian stores and pharmacies took advantage of the crisis last year, increasing the price of flour, daal, paracetamol, hand gel and toilet roll.

Indians care a lot about their family and friends but not about wider society and that is why India will always be a third world cesspit.

Stopped watching the news years ago or pay little interest to politics apart from Trump lol. Either way just brainwashes you and life still goes on regardless how propaganda news and politics. They are there to make $$$.

Hindus are some of the most wealthiest in India and diasporas. Where are they?! Cant dig deep into pocket and help out fellow Indians?!

Is Priti Patel going issues warnings and jail for those travelling back and forth from India. We know how law abiding she is. Is she going to hold India same standards as they did with China and its dishonesty. lol

Yes, you do have to stay in hotel after having covid test when landing(airport). It has to be Airport hotel and you must book and pay for 3 nights even though most people are out by the 2nd day. Cost of $1500 per person.

The IPL matches are help in empty stadiums. No spectators are allowed.

Yeah but its morally wrong. Millionaires playing cricket, teams owned by millionaires, while just across the road thousands are struggling to breath and thousands are being cremated. How is that even right?

Delhi is home to thousands of millionaires, and around 20 billionaires, while at the same time other people living in the same city are struggling to breath!

A 5* hotel in Delhi is being used to treat politicians, judges and the rest. I bet that hotel doesn't have a shortage of oxygen cylinders.

But considering the vast majority of the Indian public, once the pandemic is over it will be " hail Modi ji"  again. He'll get a terrorist killed in Kashmir and he will be the hero again.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
