New South Wales, not Australia. In other states, you can still wear a kirpan to school, just not nsw where it happen.

If the establishment insists on being dumb, it would be sweet justice to form Sikh schools and simply outperform all other schools academically and in all ways. Just blow their tests away and have knowledge you couldn't even test public schools on.

Honestly, I don't know if private schools are allowed in that area. If they are then the population of Sikhs have to be examined. Then full time teachers and all that stuff has to be put into place. The population of Sikhs are increasing at a high rate in Australia so a Sikh school could possibly be a possibility.

the schools and govt. should work on fixing this problem (Bullying). banning a Kirpan will not solve or prevent an incidents like this happening again. Sikh society in Australia and around the world is well respected and banning a Kirpan making Sikh society very upset and disappointed. A lot of kids commit suicide because of bullying.
