Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj was often not available and instead Lavan was read while walking around a fire. I'm not trying to justify it nor do I think it should be practiced today. Namdhari's have tried their best to preserve their beliefs and during British rule that is how marriage was performed.

Ok ji, I don't really want to start an argument. I just wanted to clarify for the sangat that Namdharis aren't keshdhari Hindus. That is not to say that they don't have Hindu influences, however; but they are definitely not Hindus.

It's not only you. I logged in and had notifications of a dozen of these things. Some person (and it may be a sullah or a casteist, judging from what gets downvoted), seems to do this in batches.
