Punjab had registered a record 231 deaths on May 18, with Ludhiana being one of the worst-affected districts.

So far, Covid-19 has claimed 14,180 lives in the state.

Any idea how many of these are 'excess deaths' in addition to the usual death rates ?

Give us more details on what you are seeing around Ludhiana if you can veer ji?

It's not good. Businesses r being killed and there is no liquidity in the market. People in Ludhiana city r not taking the required precautions and in villages around Ludhiana it's even worse.

The govt. too at centre and state level has failed the people.

What provisions are there for vaccines? Are people taking them?

Sometimes vaccines r available and sometimes there is shortage.

People in villages hv problem in finding vaccines.

In govt. hospitals, vaccine is free but there is so much crowd in there that ur chances of catching corona is very high.

In a govt. hospital near me, there was a big line of people who were being vaccinated and just parallel to that, there was a big line of people who had come to get their covid tests done.

Were they socially distancing and wearing masks?

How many people do you know in your family who've had vaccines?

They were wearing masks but not keeping social distancing as there was no space available.

All of my family members hv had vaccine but the issue is that we hv no faith in covishield vaccine. Indian variant is too strong for it.
