I love Davinder Toor's collection of vintage Sikh/Panjabi art and photos. Really helped me connect with the past.

We lost the war and the  British took our wealth. Honestly we need to accept our defeat and learn from our mistakes but majority of our people are too dumb to understand this. They dont even have enough self awareness to realize that their minds have been colonized and subjugated which is why you see them always trying to assimilate. A person who understands this wouldn't want to ever loose their identity.

If you can even perceive this you've got some degree of cognitive 'prowess'. But what about hordes of simple minded apnay who don't even get the idea of being mentally colonised, or even how the imperial experience changed us so much to the point where we have some compromised 'Sikhism' that hordes think is the real deal.

There is great intellectual named Ajmer Singh, an older fellow with communist roots but who later turned towards Gurmat, who really appeals to me in terms of his Punjabi language skills  and depth. He does what you do, but in relation to Indian state and communism. Some great content in awesome Punjabi. If our brothers back home start listening to him, they can start the mind-decolonizing.
